Which First Aid Course Do You Need? 💜🧡

Choosing the right qualification or knowing which training you need can be a challenge. Sometimes, the level of training is directed by our professional and regulatory body requirements, or because of the setting we work in, e.g. an early years setting where the standard by Osfted is a full paediatric first aid course.

A first aid needs assessment is often a good place to start, supporting you to look at factors including, staffing, location, and the likelihood of specific injuries and accidents.
Don't forget that we have a consultancy service and can help you to find a course that most meets your needs.

Ask Anglia CPR - when should I worry about a head injury? 💜🧡
Head injuries in children and young people are common. Children are active explorers; developing and learning about the World around them. Many children and young people are also involved in activities and organised sports, as well as riding bikes and scooters (helmets are a must!)

✅Many sporting governing bodies have return to play protocols, which provide guidance to clubs and coaches about returning to organised sports following head injuries.

✅If you are worried at any time, access 111, your GP, A&E or 999.

✅You can support your child to sleep as per their normal routine. However, it is recommended that you check your child more frequently overnight to ensure that they are sleeping as they normally would, and that they make an appropriate response when you rouse them.

Can I be sued for providing CPR or First Aid?

Fear of doing something wrong in an emergency situation is a common concern amongst bystanders and trained first aiders.
Whilst the UK does not specifically have a Good Samaritan Act, acts considered to be of good samaritan in nature are consider under the Social Action Responsibility And Heroism Act 2015 (SARAH), as well as other elements of common UK Law.
Doing nothing in an emergency is always worse than doing something.
