I’m totally obsessed with this upgrade 😍😍

This lovely lady had a hoop in her conch that was just a little too small, so we discussed options for what we could change it to.. a bigger hoop would’ve worked, but a conch is always an amazing place for show-stopping jewellery. In the end, Cassidy chose this ‘Soraya’ from QualiTi and it’s as if it was made for her ear! 💎

Not sure what to expect at your piercing appointment? Here’s a simple guide:

1) When you arrive, you will be greeted and asked what you’re wanting to get done. After this, we’ll get the piercing room set up while you fill out your consent form and medical form. If we’re not sure if your age, we may also ask you for ID at this stage. 🪪

2) Once we’re ready to go, we’ll go through to the piercing room and we’ll discuss what type of jewellery needs to be used, let you have a browse of the upgrade jewellery and discuss the procedure and the aftercare necessary for your piercing. If we have any questions or specific advice relating to your medical form, we’ll also discuss that at this stage.

3) We’ll clean the area for the piercing and mark where it will go. For some piercings there isn’t much variation in where it can go, but either way we’ll show you and make sure you’re happy. If we think there needs to be any variations because of your anatomy, we will advise of this. 👂👃👄

Once you’re marked and we’re both happy to go ahead, We’ll prepare to do the piercing. You may be asked to sit on the couch or lie down, depending on what we’re doing. As we go through the procedure, we will continue to explain what we’re doing. We will ask you to focus on calm breathing while the piercing is done, and while the jewellery is inserted. 💎

4) Once the jewellery is in and fastened tightly, we’re all done. We’ll run through the aftercare again, take a few photos if you’re happy for us to do so, and you can head out into the world with your new piercings! ☀️☀️☀️

People ask me all the time, ‘how long until my new piercing is fully healed?’

Well, the answer isn’t so simple.

Certain high street stores who do piercings (with a ‘gun’) say that your piercing will be healed in 6 weeks- but in reality, piercings take a lot longer to heal than people think, particularly any piercings through cartilage.

This is a brilliant example of a fully healed Helix - this had been done for a few years. This is what we’re all aiming for!
