I don’t particularly support the marketing of Valentine’s Day yet I still find myself in the card shop each year - I always have a laugh at how cheesy some of the messages are and so I thought I’d join in and share a message of love from me to you, my beautiful friends.

Even when life is full of struggle, you feel lonely or hurt, know that you are loved. You are loved in so many ways, by friends, family, a partner, lover your colleagues, and your pets. In fact you are loved by everyone that you shine your divine light upon. The love that flows through your heart is your magic and it’s medicine for all that receive it. Feel the love in the air not just today but everyday.

Happy winter solstice ❄️

Ayurveda teaches us that we’re connected to nature and that we thrive with seasonal living.
As winter arrives, nature goes into hibernation mode and there is a stillness present.
This is natures signal for us to slow down and cosy up.
With Christmas at the end of this week, you may feel like this is an impossible task but even a few minutes of rest can help you feel more festive and less frazzled and better able to cope with what life throws at you.

A little reminder to all you busy bees out there.
Take some time for yourself today, It’s okay to rest.
When we take time to recharge we can be better versions of ourselves.
Forget the to-do list and the chores - they will always be waiting for you.
Ignore the mental chatter that might be telling you to keep on pushing through.
Instead, why not enjoy some guilt-free time out to recharge and unwind?
For me, Sunday’s are perfect for reading a chapter or two of my favourite book, taking a mindful walk in nature, enjoying a pampering spa bath or simply sitting with a cuppa in silence.

Today is Ayurveda Day and I’m lucky enough to be immersed in Indian culture, at one of India’s top Ayurvedic University hospitals 😀
Each time I practice alongside these incredible professors, doctors and students my love for this beautiful nature-based healing system deepens. It heals from the root, identifying messages of imbalance in body and mind, such as headaches, anxiety, sleep disorders, digestive issues, menstrual complaints, dry skin, aches and pains. These are signs that something’s out of balance, and often indicate the initial stages of dis-ease.

I wish we had Ayurveda hospitals in the UK, patients are treated with:

When was the last time you slowed down to watch the clouds go by?
The simplest things can make a huge difference in how we navigate our daily life. Stress or ease - it’s a mindset shift.
I was always stressed. I measured my success on how busy I was and never made time to just BE in the moment, watching the clouds go by, taking a walk in nature or sitting in silence. I’ve come to realise that these precious moments of non-doing reap the greatest rewards. They instil balance and ease into my days - priceless gifts.
