There is a strong argument to have a thermography breast scan either as a standalone test or alongside a regular mammogram!

Why ?

Because they are different in what they can discover.

THERMOGRAPHY

Thermography detects metabolic and vascular thermal changes that occur sooner than a mass is established.

MAMMOGRAM

Can detect an established physical mass in the breast (about the size of a small grape).

To be clear :
A normal thermogram indicates that you have physiologically healthy breasts which is reassuring if you have a family history of breast cancer.

1. Breast Cancer Now has a free helpline that you can on 0808 800 6000. They also have an online forum that is open 24/7.

2. Cancer Research UK has an online forum, Cancer Chat, that is open 24/7.

3. Macmillan Cancer Support has a free support line (0808 808 0000). They also have an online community.

It helps to talk.
