One of the biggest misconceptions about muscle scraping is that more redness means more damage.
Not always…
The redness is a temporary response to the mechanical stimulation of the tissues, with increased local blood flow contributing to the appearance.
Everyone responds differently — some clients barely go red, while others can develop a much more dramatic reaction.
Redness does often coincide with areas that feel particularly tight, restricted or sensitive during treatment, although redness alone doesn’t tell us exactly what’s happening underneath.
👉 More redness doesn’t mean a better treatment
👉 Less redness doesn’t indicate an ineffective treatment
The redness isn’t the goal — how the area feels and moves is what matters. 💪
