We're excited to introduce Jesse, one of our Children and Young People Emotional Health & Wellbeing Workers from Early Break.

Horizon PCN has partnered with Early Break UK to offer extra support for children and young people who are registered with Garden City Medical Centre, Mile Lane Health Centre, Peel GPs, Redbank Group Practice, Ribblesdale Medical Practice, Tower Family Healthcare and Woodbank Surgery

Our team can help young people who are struggling with:
💙 Feeling worried or anxious
💙 Anger
💙 Feeling low or unhappy
💙 Managing big emotions
💙 Low confidence and self-esteem
💙 Support before or after an autism or ADHD assessment

The NHS has launched a new online self-assessment tool for women who experience a bleed or spotting they’ve been through the menopause and who are not on HRT.

It’s for women in 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐲, 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐎𝐥𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐦, 𝐇𝐞𝐲𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐞.

Any bleeding from your va**na after the menopause (when your periods have been stopped for 12 months or more) should be checked out to rule out possible womb cancer.

🚨 Emergency Alert Test – Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm 🚨

The UK Government will be testing the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7th September at around 3pm.

📱 During the test, your phone will:

Make a loud siren sound for about 10 seconds – even if it’s on silent or vibrate.

Show a message on the screen making it clear this is only a test.

The Emergency Alerts system is designed to warn people about dangers to life, such as extreme weather.

⚠️ Important: If you have a second or hidden phone, please be aware the alert will sound on that device too. You may wish to turn off alerts in advance. Instructions can be found here:
