Walking together for a great cause!

Team BARDOC was proud to take part in the Supporting Sisters sponsored walk - bringing people together, raising awareness and supporting the incredible work they do within our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who walked, donated and supported the event. It was a fantastic day filled with teamwork, encouragement and community spirit!

Last week BARDOC visited Tottington High School to deliver an interactive session supporting students with their Health and Social Care coursework.

The session explored public health challenges, including obesity and sexual health, and encouraged students to think about the barriers people face when trying to improve their health and wellbeing. Students also took part in activities focused on health campaigns, myth-busting, healthy lifestyle choices and creating their own public health initiatives.

It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, creativity and engagement from the students throughout the session. We hope the session helped bring their assignment to life and provided valuable insight into the role healthcare organisations play in improving community health.

A huge thank you to the staff and students at Tottington High School for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to working together again in the future.

Warning: Wedding Fever Has Hit BARDOC!

We're delighted to announce that our lovely Kate is finally off the market!

To celebrate her upcoming wedding, we couldn't resist embarrassing her just a little at work with a special photo opportunity. After all, it's only fair considering how much she's made the rest of us smile over the years.

Enjoy every minute of your special day.

Congratulations, Kate! Love from all your friends and colleagues at BARDOC

Earlier this year, BARDOC's Healthy Hero Competition brought together schools, pupils, families, and community partners across our local communities to promote healthy lifestyles in a fun and creative way.

This highlights video showcases some of the fantastic entries, community support, and collaboration that helped make the initiative such a success.

At BARDOC, we remain committed to working with young people, schools, and community organisations to promote healthier futures and improve health awareness from an early age.

We were delighted to deliver the Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment (RQF) course at Bardoc in May.

A huge thank you to the team for such positive feedback following Geoff’s session. It’s fantastic to hear that the training was informative, engaging and easy to follow, with practical examples that helped bring risk assessment principles to life in a workplace context.

By the end of the session, learners felt more confident in understanding workplace hazards, legislation and the process involved in supporting and carrying out effective risk assessments.

Well done to everyone who took part.

🎬 A Day in the Life of Work Experience at BARDOC

This week, we're delighted to welcome Laaibah to BARDOC for her work experience placement.

Over the course of her placement, Laaibah has been meeting teams from across the organisation, learning about different healthcare roles, observing services in action, and gaining an insight into how we support patients and communities across Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton.

As part of her placement, Laaibah has also been involved in creating this fantastic video, showcasing her experience.

We're incredibly impressed by her enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to get involved, and we're looking forward to seeing what she achieves during the rest of her time with us.

Well done, Laaibah! 👏

At BARDOC, we are proud to support the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership's No Space For Racism campaign.

Every member of our workforce deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued at work. Sadly, too many health and care professionals continue to experience racism and discrimination while providing care to others.

The No Space for Racism campaign highlights the real experiences of health and care staff across Greater Manchester and reinforces a clear message: there is no place for racism in healthcare or our communities.

Racism affects wellbeing, confidence and the ability of staff to do their jobs. By raising awareness, challenging unacceptable behaviour and supporting those affected, we can all play a part in creating a more inclusive and respectful environment.

We stand alongside our colleagues across Greater Manchester in taking a zero-tolerance approach to racism and abuse.

Please take a moment to watch and share this powerful video.

💗 Supporting One of Our Own 💗

This weekend, the family of our Finance Director, Lorna, took on an incredible 20 mile walk to raise money following Lorna’s recent breast cancer diagnosis.

Team ‘Lorna’s Legends’ showed amazing determination and support for a cause that means so much to them and to many others affected by breast cancer.

We are incredibly proud to support Lorna and her family during this time and want to thank everyone involved for helping raise awareness and vital funds for Breast Cancer Now.
