MSL is proud to have developed and launched our pioneering VeganSure® service offering a fully vegan, Vegan Society Registered, alternative to standard cosmetic microbiology. UK Cosmetics testing and regulatory house MSL has developed the first preservative efficacy test performed on non-animal-derived culture media.

To Celebrate Science week 2019 MSL went to visit St Joseph’s Primary school in Ramsbottom, where two members of our team went to talk to children about careers in science and let the children do a few fun experiments, using soap to power boats and using yeast to blow up balloons.

An exciting morning creating a mess, having fun and engaging with the children to show them how you can experiment at home with science.

Now we can’t wait to get involved again next year.
We hope you all had a great Science week too!

At MSL we are proud of the balance we have achieved, women making up 3 of our 5 directors, 57% of our workforce and in our lab women make up 66% of our team. This balance ensures that all the aspects that go into the work we do each day can be done by both men and women.

Our CEO Angela Davies is passionate about the role women play in the workplace and was part of the Recharge Event alongside 5 others representing successful women in business in the Bury area.

The Cosmetics Trade Association the CTPA has organised a Christmas Jumper Day on 13th December to raise money and awareness for the charity Look Good, Feel Better.

MSL have agreed to support the day and our Ops Director Mark, shown modelling his own snazzy jumper has volunteered to double donations made to the charity, and give a prize to anyone wearing a worse Christmas outfit than his. Now that's a challenge!!!!
