We couldn't be prouder of our incredible client and everything she has achieved. ๐Ÿ’™

Living with an acquired brain injury has brought its challenges, but her determination, resilience, and commitment to her rehabilitation continue to inspire us every day. The progress she has made through attending the gym has been incredible.

A huge credit must also go to our fantastic team, whose encouragement, support, and belief in her abilities have helped her build confidence and reach new milestones.

Regular gym attendance plays an important role in rehabilitation, helping to improve strength, mobility, independence, wellbeing, and overall quality of life. We can't wait to see what she achieves next. ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ

Today, Denise, one of our Care Coordinators, supported one of our clients on a bowling trip to Hollywood Bowl, and they had a fantastic time! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽณ

We believe in our management team getting involved in direct support, helping us better understand our clients' experiences and ensure we're providing the very best care. Activities like bowling encourage physical activity, social interaction, confidence, and most importantly, lots of fun! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ BURSTING WITH PRIDE | CELEBRATING GROWTH & OUR PEOPLE

As we move into a very special week for Manchester, with Manchester Village Pride coming back home to the community, there couldnโ€™t be a more fitting time for us at RFI and SFI to say that we are absolutely bursting with pride ourselves.

We are delighted to celebrate the promotion of Christine to Director of Clinical Services, effective 1 September 2026. ๐ŸŽ‰

Christineโ€™s promotion reflects the continued growth of our Case Management service and our ambitions to further develop our Occupational Therapy and Medico-Legal services, alongside our planned expansion into the North East.

As Director of Clinical Services, Christine will lead the development and day-to-day delivery of our clinical services, while Mark will continue to be actively involved in the strategic direction and development of RFI and SFI.

Importantly, leadership for us remains rooted in practice. Both Mark and Christine will continue to hold active case management caseloads, maintaining that direct connection with the clients, families, professionals and teams at the heart of what we do.

We are also continuing to invest in quality, with RFI and SFI recruiting a Quality & Compliance Manager to strengthen service quality, governance and CQC compliance as we grow.

And this week, particularly, pride means more than a celebration. ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

It means being proud of our people, proud of our community, proud of how far we have come and excited about where we are going next.

So, as Manchester celebrates Pride coming home to the Village, weโ€™re celebrating one of our own.

Congratulations, Christine โ€” we couldnโ€™t be prouder!

Recovering Together.
Nurturing Lives.
Growing Independence.
Thriving Independently.

๐Ÿฎ A lovely day out at the Highland Cattle Experience - LRC Smallholders

Our client and Rehabilitation Support Worker, Rebecca, recently spent some time meeting these beautiful Highland cattle and enjoying the peaceful countryside setting.

For people living with an acquired brain injury, taking part in meaningful activities can help build confidence, encourage independence, reduce social isolation, and support overall wellbeing. It also provides opportunities to try new experiences, connect with the local community, and work towards personal rehabilitation goals in an enjoyable way. ๐Ÿ’š

This month's noticeboard has been put together by Michelle, our Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor, and Erin, our Occupational Therapy Assistant. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Their board focuses on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), which are the everyday tasks that help people stay as independent as possible, from washing and dressing to preparing meals, managing household tasks, and getting out into the community.

Occupational Therapy plays a huge role in helping our clients regain, maintain, or improve these important skills. Michelle and Erin work closely with clients to find practical solutions, build confidence, and support them in achieving their personal goals, helping them live as independently and safely as possible.

A big thank you to Michelle and Erin for creating another informative and eye-catching board! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

At RFI & SFI, we're big believers that some things are simply better done in person, and training is one of them.

Whilst online training can be convenient, nothing quite replaces being in a room with an experienced trainer, having real conversations, asking questions as they come up, and learning alongside colleagues who may have faced similar situations.

Face-to-face training gives our teams the opportunity to take part in practical exercises, discuss real-life scenarios, share experiences and gain immediate feedback. It helps build confidence, encourages engagement, and often leads to a much deeper understanding than simply working through an online module alone.

We're proud to work in partnership with a fantastic local training provider, Complete Training, who deliver high-quality mandatory training to our teams. We're committed to ensuring staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to provide safe, effective and person-centred support.

For us, mandatory training isn't just about meeting requirements. It's about investing in our people so they can continue to deliver the highest standards of care and rehabilitation support to those who rely on us every day.

Sophie has recently been enjoying trips to Flight Club Manchester with two of our Rehabilitation Support Workers, Sarah and Rachel. ๐ŸŽฏ

As darts is something Sophie has always enjoyed, getting out and taking part in an activity she's passionate about has been a great way to support her rehabilitation. Not only does it help with concentration, coordination and decision making skills, but it also provides opportunities to build confidence, socialise, and enjoy being part of the community.

Most importantly, it's about doing something Sophie loves and having fun while working towards her goals. We've loved seeing her competitive side come out, and we're not sure Sarah and Rachel always enjoy being beaten! ๐Ÿ˜Š

โšฝ๐Ÿ”ด A fantastic day out at the legendary Old Trafford for one of our clients and his Rehabilitation Support Worker!

For individuals with complex needs, getting out into the community, exploring new environments, and engaging in meaningful activities can have a huge positive impact on wellbeing, confidence, social inclusion, and overall quality of life. These opportunities help promote independence, provide sensory stimulation, and create memories.

It was great to see our client enjoying the history and atmosphere of Manchester United alongside his support worker. And as the person behind our social media, Iโ€™m especially pleased to report that he supports the right team too! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ”ด
