I was asked recently what advice could I give to someone suffering from Ulcerative Colitis who was travelling abroad.
1) arrange with the company/ airport disabled access. They will take you to the airport lounge and onto the flight without you having to queue.

3) carry all your medicines with you. Do not put them in your case.
4) pack a water bottle, great for stomach cramps
5) travel with spare underwear
6) Give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport allowing for toilet stops
7) Eat lightly the day before
8 ) Take food and water onto the plane incase delayed.
