🚨 NEWS JUST IN: 📢 Buxton Museum and Art Gallery is reopening! 🎉

The Derbyshire County Council run museum will open its doors to the public after more than three years of closure.

The team are preparing to welcome visitors back to its new temporary home next to Buxton Library on Kents Bank Road.

The new smaller museum will bring back some familiar favourites from the collection with:

🐻 New displays
🛍️ Gift shop
✏️ Brand new Activity space

And it remains free admission.

It’s fantastic news for Buxton and another big step towards restoring a permanent museum presence in the town.

🚗🎉 The A54 Cat & Fiddle Road has re-opened today, three weeks ahead of schedule - following £3m improvement works after closing in 27th July 2026.

Good news for anyone travelling between Buxton and Macclesfield 🙌

🏦 Face-to-face banking is back in the heart of Buxton!

A brand-new Banking Hub has officially opened on Spring Gardens, offering everyday banking services for both personal and business customers, Monday to Friday.

The new hub was officially opened by High Peak MP Jon Pearce, with the Mayor of High Peak also in attendance.
