INFLUENZA & PNEUMONIA CLINICS 2026
We have now opened booking for FLU / PNEUMONIA Clinics for the autumn for following groups and patients will be called shortly. However Patients eligible for these vaccines may contact us to book via NHS APP MESSAGING, EMAIL (State vaccine requested, DOB and Postcode) , or by telephone (phones are less busy after 10am). Housebound patients known to us will be contacted by the community vaccination service.
PATIENTS ELIGIBLE FOR ANNUAL FLU VACCINE
2-3 year olds (nasal flu)
65 years or older
Patients 16-64 in a medical 'risk' group*
Chronic respiratory disease such as asthma requiring regular inhaled steroids, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
•
Chronic heart disease and vascular disease
•
Chronic kidney disease at stage 3, 4 or 5
•
Chronic liver disease
•
Chronic neurological disease such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease
•
Learning disability
•
Severe mental illness
•
Diabetes and adrenal insufficiency
•
Epilepsy
•
Immunosuppression due to disease such as HIV/AIDS or treatment such as cancer treatment (and household contacts of at-risk individuals)
•
Asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen
•
Morbidly obese (class III obesity). This is defined as those with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or above, aged 16 or over

PATIENTS ELIGIBLE FOR PNEUMONIA VACCINE (NORMALLY ONE OFF VACCINE)
65 years or older

Chronic respiratory, cardiac, renal or liver disease

Diabetes
o
Cochlear implants or cerebrospinal leaks
o
Immunosuppression
o
Asplenia or splenic dysfunction
Most clinics start in October - We Highly recommend patients have these vaccines to protect themselves and those around them.
