What a fantastic morning at Fferm Ynys Hywel! 🦆🐓

A huge thank you to Theresa for the warm welcome and for showing us the ropes. Simon and Michael did an incredible job getting stuck into cleaning out the chicken and duck pens—there’s nothing quite like hands-on outdoor work to boost wellbeing and stay connected with nature!

The team had such a great time that both Simon and Michael will be back in two weeks to lend another hand.

What a lovely morning for a walk at Cosmeston Country Park today! Great company as always, and it was fantastic to have Morgan back with us again.

​We missed a few of our regulars who are away—hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday! 😁

​Our four-legged members certainly had a great time soaking up the fresh air, too. 🐕🐾

​See you all in two weeks for our next walk at Tredegar Park!

WEDNESDAY EVENING WALK

Expect around 90 minutes of fresh air, good company, and a steady route to get the body moving. We start from Abertridwr Library car park and head straight up towards the mountain — a bit of a climb to get the heart pumping early on.

From there, we take in the quieter country lanes with some incredible views stretching out over Caerphilly and the castle. It’s one of those routes that reminds you why getting out is always worth it.

We then make our way back down and along the old railway line that once served Windsor Colliery and Universal Colliery, before getting back to the cars.

Nothing complicated. No pressure. Just a solid walk and good people.

📚🌳 LITTLE STEPS STORY TIME WALK 🌳📚

Join us this Wednesday 9th September at 9:30am for a lovely morning walk at Penallta Park, Ystrad Mynach 💖👣

📍 Meeting point: Main car park Penallta Park
🚶‍♀️ Route: Main car park ➡️ around the Pit Pony ➡️ up to the viewing point and back

We’ll enjoy a nice walk together before stopping for some story time with the babies and little ones 📖🥰

🧺 What to bring:
📚 Your baby or little one’s favourite book
🧺 A blanket to sit on
🥪 An optional picnic if you’d like to stay and eat with us afterwards
💧 Drinks/snacks for yourself and little ones

⚠️ Please remember there is nowhere to buy food or drinks on this walk, so bring anything you’ll need with you.

☀️ The weather is looking lovely and sunny for Wednesday, so hopefully we can enjoy a beautiful morning outdoors together! As always, come prepared for the Welsh weather just in case 😂🌦️

💗 All women are welcome — you don’t need to have a baby to join us. Our walks are simply pram-friendly so everyone can come along 👣

If you’re nervous about coming for the first time, please pop me a message 💌 I’m always happy to meet you a little earlier so you don’t have to arrive on your own.

We thought it would be lovely to give the babies and little ones something extra to enjoy while we can still make the most of the nicer weather ☀️📚🧺 before the colder months arrive and there are fewer chances to stop, sit down and enjoy a little activity together on our walks 🍂🤎
