Setting boundaries can make your daily living that bit easier, especially if you often feel exhausted due to people-pleasing, or you feel guilty or stressed saying no to people when it's in your own best interest to do so. Examples:-

~ Personal life boundaries: what you will and won't allow to interrupt your leisure/rest time
~ Financial boundaries: suggesting limits to your partner about how much money you will spend on family gifts or holidays
~ Emotional boundaries: putting a limit on taking on other people's burdens, stress or moods (acknowledging your own emotional capacity)
~ Digital and social media boundaries: when or how quickly you reply to messages, or turning off notifications when you want quiet time or a mental break etc
~ Conversational boundaries: deciding on topics you will and won't engage in with (certain) people (and time spent discussing them)
~ Time boundaries: how much time you dedicate to tasks, requests and other people's priorities
~ Work role boundaries: being clear to yourself and others about what you will and won't do/take on
~ Mental boundaries: what you will and won't spend time thinking about
~ Physical and personal space bounderies: defining personal space, ie who is and isn't allowed in it, and in what ways people are able to physically interact with you
~ Ethical and intellectual boundaries (respecting your own values and opinions): not allowing others to force you to change your perspective on a topic; declining to participate in gossip or negative conversations.
