😊 I’m Edyta (pronounced Eh-DEE-tah).
Some of you have seen me around here already, and some of you haven’t. So I thought I’d say hello and share a little reflection on yoga.
🧘 Yoga keeps meeting me wherever I am in life, and I can see how my yoga path has evolved with me. Life moves forward, and I change - my body, my priorities, and my needs change too.
🧘 Yoga was introduced to me not as a set of exercises on the mat, as it is often perceived, but as a philosophy. Yes, I still work with the body to build stability and strength, and to balance energy levels through physical practice. I also use yoga therapeutically to support a better body-mind connection when I’m not feeling well.
But the essence remains the same: yoga helps me understand myself a little better and find a bit of peace in everyday life.
🧘 The only way to really find out what yoga is for you is to practise it regularly. As some of my teachers say, yoga is “a science of experience”, an “embodied philosophy”, or even a fitness routine.
It can be all of these things - depending on how you enter it.
