What is your WHY ?

Ian’s (ians_journey_to_morzine on Instagram) lost 2st 2.5lbs (13.8kg) in just eight weeks 💪 – and with the support of his Slimming World group and Consultant, he’s on a mission to slim down for an epic cycling adventure 🚴‍♀️👀. He’s preparing for a week in the French Alps where he’ll be attempting at least three climbs from the Tour de France 😱.

💜 The Power of Purple Bags — Our 2026 Cancer Research Clothes Throw
What started as a simple idea — clearing out wardrobes and giving back — became a movement that united Slimming World groups across Cambridge and beyond. From Histon to Fordham, Cottenham to Trumpington, members, consultants, and friends came together with one shared goal: to make a difference.
Week by week, the purple bags piled high — each one filled with clothes that once marked a chapter in someone’s journey. Some represented pounds lost, others new beginnings, and all symbolised hope. By the end, our community had gathered an incredible 811 bags, raising a staggering £26,763 for Cancer Research UK.
Behind every bag was a story of confidence regained, of generosity shared, and of the friendships that make Slimming World so special. The smiles captured in this photo say it all: together, we can achieve amazing things.
Here’s to every member who lifted, sorted, carried, and cared. 💜 Here’s to the power of community. Here’s to Slimming World Cambridge 2026 , where every bag counts and every heart matters
