A massive thank you to Avormen Apparel in Wisbech for supporting Jensen’s story and allowing us to have one of Jensen’s fundraising cards in their shop to help raise money for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust 💛

It honestly means so much to us when local businesses are willing to get behind Jensen and help us spread awareness of a condition that so many people have never even heard of.

Every donation, every share and every bit of support really does make a difference 🥹💛

And just a little reminder… any donations made before 2nd December will be doubled as part of The Big Give, so your donation can go twice as far! 🎉

We’re also running Jensen’s Story Christmas Toy Appeal this year for the children at Addenbrooke’s Hospital 🎄🎁

🎁 Toy drop-off points: Starbucks – A47 Walpole Highway or Tesco Wisbech. If you can’t get to either, just message me on here and I’m happy to arrange an alternative. 😊

Thank you again to Avorman Apparel for helping us along the way. It means more than you know 💛

How amazing are these cards!!! 🫶🏻😊 made by The Aplastic Anaemia Trust

Seeing Jensen’s face on it feels me with pride!

Hi everyone ❤️

I’ve had a few people message me about the Aplastic Anaemia storyline on Home & Away at the moment — thank you for telling me :)

I did have a quick look on their page… but it got a bit too much for me and I ended up getting emotional and having a little panic attack. So I won’t be watching it. It’s still a bit too raw for me right now. ❤️

That said, I think it’s brilliant that Home & Away are doing this storyline. Reading through some of the comments before the diagnosis was revealed, most people thought it was leukaemia. And that really shows why raising awareness of Aplastic Anaemia is so important.

I also saw a few comments saying things like, “Oh, it’s only anaemia, it’s not that serious.” 😬🙈

Yup… that just shows how much more awareness is needed!

Aplastic Anaemia is NOT just anaemia. It’s a rare and serious condition that can completely turn a family’s world upside down.

If this storyline makes even a handful of people stop and think, learn what Aplastic Anaemia actually is, or recognise the signs in someone they know, then that can only be a good thing.

So although I won’t be watching it myself, I’m really glad they’re telling the story. The more people who know about Aplastic Anaemia, the better. 🩸

So yesterday… Jensen went back to school! 🥹❤️

And yes, I cried. 😂😭

Seeing Edith give him the biggest hug yesterday morning was just the sweetest thing. She is such a lovely friend to Jensen & a lovely little girl 🥹❤️ ... sassy though 😂😂

It was such a strange mix of emotions. I’m so happy he’s back, seeing his friends and getting a bit of normality again, but handing him over after everything we’ve been through is bloody scary.

We’re taking it slowly, just one hour at a time, and there’s absolutely no rushing him.

One hour at school might not sound like much… but to us, it was MASSIVE. ❤️

So proud of you, Jensen. 🥹❤️

🎄🎁 JENSEN’S CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL 2026 🎁🎄

It’s that time of year again! ❤️

We are so excited to announce that Jensen’s Christmas Toy Appeal is back for 2026! 🎅🏼🎁

This year is going to be a particularly special one for me, Ben and Jensen because we will be collecting toys and gifts for the children at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, specifically Ward C2 and the Paediatric Day Unit (PDU). ❤️

Addenbrooke’s holds such a huge place in our hearts and in Jensen’s story. It’s where our family spent so much of our time during the hardest chapter of our lives, and where Jensen was given the chance to get better.

So this year, we want to make the appeal extra special. 🥹❤️

Our hope is to collect as many brand-new toys and gifts as possible, so that children who find themselves in hospital over Christmas can still experience a little bit of that Christmas magic. 🎄✨

🎁 WHERE YOU’LL FIND US MOST WEEKENDS

Throughout the appeal, we’ll be out collecting donations at:
📍 Tesco, Wisbech
📍 Starbucks – A47 Walton Highway

We’ll be at these locations most weekends, so if you’re shopping, grabbing a coffee or passing by, please come and say hello! 👋🏼❤️

🩸🎄🎅🩸🎄🎅🩸🎄🎅🩸🎄🎅🩸

🎄 RAISING MONEY FOR THE APLASTIC ANAEMIA TRUST TOO 🎄

Alongside the toy appeal, we’ll also be raising money for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust — a charity that is incredibly close to our hearts.

Jensen’s journey with severe aplastic anaemia changed our lives forever, and being able to give something back and help support other families affected by this illness means so much to all three of us. ❤️

Whether you donate a toy, make a monetary donation, come along to one of our events or simply share our posts — you are helping us make a difference. ❤️

✨ Keep an eye on our socials for all upcoming events, keep following Jensen’s Story and keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming posts! 👀🎄

This year, we want to make our biggest and most special Christmas Toy Appeal yet. 🎁❤️

Let’s bring a little bit of Christmas magic to the children at Addenbrooke’s and show them just how much they are loved. 🎄✨

Thank you, as always, for continuing to support Jensen’s Story. We genuinely couldn’t do this without you. ❤️

🎅🏼🎁 Let’s make Christmas extra special this year. 🎁🎅🏼

Thursday is a pretty big day for us… Jensen is going back to school. 🥹💙

And if I'm completely honest, I'm feeling SO many emotions about it.

I'm happy. Really happy. Because this is how things are meant to be. He's 8 years old, he's fought incredibly hard to get here, and he deserves to be back at school, seeing his friends, learning, playing and just being a little boy again. 🥹

But I'm also really, really anxious, because for the first time in such a long time, Jensen won't be with me. I won't be there to keep an eye on him. I won't be able to watch his every move, check how he's feeling, or step in if something doesn't seem right.

For so long, my whole world has revolved around keeping my little boy safe. Hospital, isolation, appointments, medications, blood tests… I have been beside him through everything. So the thought of handing him back to school and walking away is honestly terrifying. 😭

I know this is a good thing. I know he needs to start getting some normality back, and I know I need to start learning to let him have that freedom too...but knowing something is the right thing doesn't always make it easy.

We're taking this incredibly slowly. Jensen will be going into school for just 1 hour a day for his first 7 days. After those first 7 days, we'll then add an extra hour each week, as long as Jensen is coping okay.

There is absolutely no rushing him. We will go by what is best for Jensen, how he's coping and what he needs. ❤️

I'm so incredibly proud of him, but I think I'm going to have to be brave too.

After everything we've been through, letting him go back into the world without me by his side is probably going to be one of the hardest things I've had to do.

So Thursday might be a huge milestone for Jensen… but it's going to be a pretty big one for his mummy too. 🥹💙

One hour at a time. One day at a time. We've got this 🩸❤️

It's taken me a while to upload this video, things have been a little busy with appointments lately & getting things ready for Jensen going back to school ( 😬😬 mummy is dreading it 😫😣😢)

Thank you to everybody in this video that sent happy rebirthday messages to Jensen :)
Jasmine Ann-Marie Summers (Jenson), Hayleigh Willows (Ayla & Isla), Linzi & The Aplastic Anaemia Trust, Laud Decorating & Amy Lou, Dr Geehee & Dr DillyDally, he had the biggest smile on his face watching it.

Dr Geehee & Dr DillyDally had Jensen giggling away (& mummy + daddy), as usual! We will be doing something for the incredible Theodora Children's Charity in the future when we have a chance 🙂

Thank you so so much to you all 🫶🏻🙂 ###

Last week, Jensen asked me a question I really wasn’t prepared for. 💔

“Mummy, if I didn’t have the German man’s stem cells, what would have happened to me?”

I went quiet for a few seconds.

It’s one of those questions you never expect your child to ask. My mind was racing… do I change the subject, or do I tell him the truth, but in a way that an eight-year-old can understand?

Before I could answer, Jensen continued…“Would I have been a star like Grandad, up in the sky?”

That broke me.

So I chose to be honest with him.

I told him that yes, if he hadn't received his German donor’s stem cells, it could have meant that he would have become a star with Grandad. But I also explained that Tommy and his team would have done everything they possibly could to help him and would have looked at every other option, but thankfully, we never had to find out because his German donor was found. ❤️

This is, unfortunately, the reality of a diagnosis of severe aplastic anaemia. Sometimes, as a parent, you can't simply make your child better. For the first time in my life, I couldn't fix it for my son, I had to watch him become incredibly poorly and then put my trust in doctors, nurses, a transplant team… and ultimately, a complete stranger.

I had to rely on somebody else to help make my little boy better again, and I will never forget that.
I will forever be grateful to his German donor for giving Jensen that chance. ❤️

I think until now, Jensen has just known that he had a transplant and that a very kind man donated his stem cells to him, but this conversation made me realise that he is starting to think about the what ifs.

And as heartbreaking as that was to hear, I’m also so grateful that he is here to ask me those questions.

He is here.
He is growing up.
He is living his life.
And he gets to wake up every morning and be mine & Ben's little boy. ❤️

That conversation hit me harder than I can explain, but it also reminded me just how incredibly lucky we are, and somewhere in Germany, there is a man who will probably never know just how much his gift means to us.

I am so, so grateful. ❤️

It might not seem like a big thing to most people, but on Saturday, me and Ben went out... just the two of us! 🙈❤️

It was the first time we'd been out together as a couple in well over a year. Jensen spent a few hours with my sister, so we took the opportunity to enjoy some much-needed time together.

We started with a lovely stroll around Sandringham before heading to Hunstanton for fish and chips by the sea. 🌊🍟

I'll be honest, it felt a little strange at first. After everything we've been through over the last year, being away from Jensen wasn't something we've really done, but it was so nice to spend some time together, not as carers, hospital parents, or organisers of appointments... just as Terri and Ben.

And yes... I did ring my sister halfway through our day to make sure everything was okay! 😂🙈 Some things never change!

A few hours of normality, fresh air, and quality time together was exactly what we needed. ❤️
