đ Mental Health Awareness Week 2026
This yearâs theme is: Take Action.
Raising awareness is important but real change happens when we take action for ourselves, for others, and for our communities.
Mental health matters every single day, and sometimes the people struggling the most are the ones hiding it best.
A simple check in, kind word, or supportive conversation could mean more than you realise.
đŠ Warning signs to look out for: â˘Withdrawing from friends, family, or social activities
⢠Changes in sleep or eating habits
⢠Constant sadness, anxiety, or irritability
⢠Loss of interest in things they once enjoyed
⢠Feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope
⢠Difficulty concentrating or low energy
⢠Increased use of alcohol or substances
⢠Talking about hopelessness or feeling like a burden
⢠Sudden changes in mood or behaviour
⨠This week, take action:
âď¸ Check in on someone
âď¸ Talk openly about mental health
âď¸ Ask for help if you need it
âď¸ Make time for your own wellbeing
âď¸ Remind others they are not alone
No one should suffer in silence. Seeking support is strength, not weakness.
Together, we can break the stigma and create a world where mental health is treated with the same care and compassion as physical health.
