September marks the 15th anniversary of World Alzheimer’s Month 💚

This year’s theme is ‘The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do. A Diagnosis Matters.’

It’s a message we stand behind at Home Instead Cannock & Burntwood, and one that resonates with many of the families we support across our local community.

An early diagnosis can help you and your loved one access the right support, plan for the future and make informed decisions about care.

If you have questions about dementia or Alzheimer’s, we’re here to listen. We can offer guidance and point you towards local organisations and professionals who can provide the advice and support you need.

Whether you’re concerned about a loved one, supporting someone with a diagnosis, or simply don’t know where to start, you don’t have to do this alone. 💚

Are you spending time with older loved ones this Bank Holiday? 💚

hope you have a fabulous time together.

Some of us might notice some changes in our nearest dearest this weekend.

Perhaps Mum isn’t eating like she used to, or maybe Dad is getting out less?

You don’t have to navigate those challenges alone. We can talk you through the support available.

The biggest thank you to all who helped us we couldn't have done it without you!

Now it’s a blank canvas…

🌻 Wildflower haven?
🥕 Veggie patch?
🐝 Pollinator paradise?
🪴 Sensory garden?
☕ Somewhere to sit, connect and enjoy?

Dementia doesn’t hold David back from living life his way. With the support of his Care Professional, he can continue enjoying the interests that matter to him, like tending to his allotment.

Living with dementia doesn’t mean giving up your routines. We help our clients continue with the passions that give life some sparkle.

This week is National Allotment Week – a celebration of the joy allotments bring to people like David.

It’s National Allotments Week, so it feels like the perfect time to share some exciting news from Home Instead Cannock & Burntwood! 💚

We’ve secured a little plot within a local community allotment project and although it’s small, we think it can have a big purpose.

We want to create a space where our clients, Care Professionals, Memory Café attendees, families and wider community can enjoy the outdoors, grow something, share memories and spend time together. 🌻🌱

It feels like the perfect fit with our passion for community, connection and enjoying the simple things in life, something Home Instead is proud to celebrate through our sponsorship of Love Your Weekend. 💚

And we want you to help us shape it!

🌱 What should we grow first?
🌻 What would you love to see there?
💚 And most importantly… what shall we name our little plot?

Pop your ideas in the comments! 👇

A little plot. A big purpose.

Growing connections in our community. 🌱
