Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the Your Life, Your Legacy Roadshow, organised by Support Staffordshire.

It was wonderful to meet so many inspiring organisations and community groups, all dedicated to supporting people to live well, stay connected, and make informed choices about their future.

The event gave us a fantastic opportunity to showcase the services we provide to help older adults live fulfilled, independent lives at home for longer, with the support they need to maintain their wellbeing and quality of life.

We were also proud to highlight our partnership with Middleton Wood Funeral Directors, reflecting our shared commitment to supporting individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and care. Together, we recognise the importance of planning ahead, having meaningful conversations about later life and legacy, and ensuring people feel supported every step of the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the strength of our local communities and the difference we can make when we work together.

Our Memory Cafés offer a welcoming space for people living with dementia and their loved ones to connect, share experiences, build friendships and find support from others who truly understand.

☀️ Hot weather can affect us all, especially older adults. A few small changes can help keep cool and comfortable during the warmer days ahead.

💧 Stay hydrated
🪟 Keep curtains closed during the hottest part of the day
👕 Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
🌳 Spend time in the shade or indoors between 11am–3pm
🥗 Choose light meals and snacks with high water content
📞 Check in on older neighbours, friends or relatives

What an incredible week for our owner, Home Instead Cannock and Burntwood's very own Peta, who had the wonderful opportunity to attend the world famous Chelsea Flower Show thanks to an invitation from Barclays Bank 🌸

From breathtaking garden designs to inspiring conversations with fellow business owners, the visit was a reminder of how important community, wellbeing, and creativity are, values we hold close every day.

Nature has such a positive impact on wellbeing, especially for older adults, and seeing the joy and connection that beautiful outdoor spaces can create was truly inspiring. 🌿

A huge thank you to Barclays for such a memorable experience and for supporting local businesses like ours.

We are so proud to be a part of Burntwood Dementia Friendly Community, and privileged to be able to offer support to not only our clients but the wider community.

This week is Dementia Action Week, an annual campaign led by Alzheimer's Society to raise awareness of the impact of dementia 💙

Dementia touches so many lives. Not just those who are living with it, but also their families, friends and carers who support them every day.

We're proud to be part of Burntwood Dementia Friendly Community which brings together organisations, charities and people from across the town who work together to raise awareness and provide support locally.
