I have loved our Uk heatwave, except for water shortages! My sleep and energy have been affected - not by the heat but by the parties, singing and shenanigans near our house. Fun and aliveness… but noisy. The lack of sleep impacts how I show up the next day and it’s been a challenge especially as I like to move my body (swim today) in the morning. Tiredness makes me feel like not going, but my habit’s brain nudges me and says ‘scalable Michelle’ So sometimes I’ll stay home and do some gentle yoga or walk round the ‘party’ field near my house but mostly, I’ll head for my workout, I’ll show up and do whatever I feel like.No ‘go hard or go home’ or ‘all or nothing’ mindset, sometimes. it’s 10 mins and then sauna time. This way, I feel good, I don’t feel annoyed with the party animals 🙉 , I feel successful! Life does get in the way and it always will- it’s aliveness! Making a habit requires scalability, adaptability and gentle daily steps, this is where you find the golden glow 💛 . Have you tried this too? I’d love to know! Love, Michelle xx.
