We have donated the rest of the FFDK funds, they have gone to...
Tackling Minds
Wildlings Hersden
Homeless people in Canterbury in the form of Gregg's vouchers to help them have a warm meal in this bitterly cold winter.

Thank you to everyone who has truly supported FFDK from the bottom of our hearts, we have made some true friends we hold dearly to our hearts and will continue to in the future.
We wish everyone we have met on this journey the best and have a Merry Christmas and an amazing New Year!

Hello everyone,
This week we have sorted through FFDK's fishing gear and have divided all gear between St Nicholas school in Canterbury (given to Kelly Laws) and Orchard school in Canterbury (given to Glyn Llywellen).
The generous donation of £1000 has been returned to the Carp Crusaders for the Mossy Cup (Dawn Moss).

Hello everyone it is with great regret we are informing you that Fishing For Disabled Kids (FFDK) will no longer be running. We are all very upset by this decision but we believe it is for all of our best interests as a family. We would like to thank all our loyal followers, supporters and everyone who has made a difference to ours and these amazing children's lives and have personally touched all volunteers hearts. There is currently £2125.62 in our FFDK funds £1000 of which that was very kindly donated by the Carp Crusaders we will be returning to them. The remaining £1125.62 we will be donating to another charity, we would like to ask our loyal supporters for their suggestions in where this would best be used, there is also fishing equipment to be donated again we are asking for suggestions for where this can be best used.
As a family we have been very moved and our lives have changed due to this journey and some of the relationships we have made have and will continue to change our lives. This was a very difficult decision we have all come to.
Thank you and kind regards,
Selina and Natty.

Unfortunately at the moment we don't know if we will be having any trips over the summer holidays sadly ☹️
We are also going to have a new group heading FFDK, there will be new admins on the page which will be helping run FFDK (as many will know it is hard work trying to do everything solely so the new team will be available soon to help answer questions etc, this means personal pages can be kept just that, personal) so any messages you have please send directly to this page and not any admins.
Many thanks.

Huge... And I mean HUGE thanks to The Crusaders! For their donation of £1000 from this year's MOSSY CUP!
It's a huge honour to be a Carp Crusader and to meet all the guys we have over the years, many of whom have volunteered for FFDK or donated to us, none of which would be possible without Bill Baggins! (I'll tag you in the comments!)
And I have to say a HUGE thanks to the Moss family, what you have done for us has brought to my whole family's eyes, we really can't wait to see you again soon (if you're free for any FFDK trips then you are more than welcome to come along and meet some of the kids that this has helped!)
I'm getting choked up as I type this so I will leave it like this for now...
Please show your appreciation by likes and shares, it's a massive thing the Crusaders have done for us and it means more than many will think.

What an amazing trip at Tricklebrook Fishery this week!
Unfortunately not everyone was available to attend ☹️ which is a huge shame because the weather was great and the fishing was brilliant! Everyone caught fish, lots of roach, perch gudgeon and carp! And everyone caught a carp on a pole at some point meaning they really had to work hard to land their quarry!
All the kids behaved admirably, you all made your parents/careers proud and it was a pleasure to have you fishing with us!
I have to give special thanks to our volunteers for their hard work helping the kids, each other and keeping everything flowing.
Adrian, Glynn, Natty, Sylvia (kept us all hydrated with multiple tea runs) Sam and Sammy, these two days would not have happened without you!
Thank you everyone at Tricklebrook for such an amazing time and your help, the lake was immaculate, the fish all healthy and plentiful! We can't wait to see you all again soon!
Thanks also to Steve Shelly for sending us 20 pole rigs ready for the trip!
Obviously a huge thanks to Pallatrax and The Kent Carp Cabin LTD for their support (hope you like the the new hoodies/T-shirts 😉)
Keep your eyes open for the next trip! Back on to the Match lake!

Adrian, Glynn, Natty and myself have had a great time over the last few days and the kids have caught plenty of fish too!
Thanks to everyone that came along! Big smiles all around!

The trip to Tricklebrook is fully booked!
Unfortunately we don't have as many volunteers as usual and first refusal was given to everyone that was coming on the Feb trip that was cancelled (thanks Eunice!)
Hopefully for the trip in the summer we will get more volunteers and be able to have more young anglers!
Sorry if you were hoping to get a spot on this trip but we are now at our limit for insurance purposes. ☹️

This week is mental health awareness week, we all know someone that suffers from mental health problems, some of you reading this do.
If you know someone that suffers, please talk to them, even if it's just a phone call to say "how ya doing" it can help more than you may know.
If you suffer from mental health problems then let someone know, sharing it will help too.
We may not have the answers but we can just be there for you to chat, help and guide.

Fishing isn't for everyone I know, but it helps so could everyone that knows of mental health fishing groups please put any links to groups on this post, you may help someone without knowing it, you may save a life and a families heartbreak!

Watch this video (make sure you have some tissues ready) help is out there!
