💙 Throwback Thursday for Urology Awareness Month.

Let’s Throw it back this Thursday to when our lead Pelvic health Physio Kelly had the opportunity to feature on the BBC podcast “John Says the C Word” 🎙️

It was such an important conversation around men’s health, urology and pelvic health, helping to break down some of the embarrassment and stigma that can stop men from talking about their symptoms.

With Urology Awareness Month taking place, it feels like the perfect time to revisit this fantastic podcast and remind men:
💙 Don’t ignore changes to your bladder or urinary habits.
💙 Don’t put pelvic or prostate pain down to “just getting older”.
💙 Don’t be embarrassed to ask for help.
💙 And most importantly — talk about it.
As pelvic health physiotherapists, we see first-hand how much urological symptoms can affect everyday life, relationships, confidence and wellbeing.

🎧 So, for this Throwback Thursday, why not give “John Says the C Word” a listen?

Let’s keep the conversation going and make men’s pelvic and urological health something we talk about openly.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: It’s Not Just About Weakness 💗

Pelvic floor problems aren’t always about weakness. Your pelvic floor can be weak, tight, poorly coordinated — or a combination of these. 🌸

The important thing is understanding why you’re experiencing symptoms rather than simply doing more pelvic floor exercises.

💗 Pelvic health physiotherapy can help identify what’s contributing to your symptoms and create a treatment plan tailored to you.

You don’t have to just put up with it. Get in touch to find out how we can help you today. 😃

Pain doesn’t just affect how you feel… it affects how you move🚶

New research involving almost 3,600 people with back and knee pain found that walking patterns are closely linked to pain severity. The more pain someone was in, the more their walking changed 🤯

That’s why, as physios, we don’t just look at where it hurts. We look at how your whole body is moving to identify compensations and treat the root cause—not just the symptoms.

If you’ve noticed you’re walking differently because of pain, don’t just ignore it.

💬 Message “INFO” and we’ll help you get to the bottom of it.

⚽️ New Football season. New goals. ⚽

Whether you’re playing Sunday league, junior football or just getting back into the game, looking after your body can make a big difference.

Build your strength. Improve your movement. Manage those niggles before they become longer term injuries.

If you want to stay on the pitch and perform at your best this season, we’re here to help 😃

😖 Pain on the outside of your hip isn’t always arthritis.
Gluteal tendinopathy is a common cause of persistent hip pain, especially when walking, climbing stairs or lying on your side.

The good news? With the right advice and a progressive strengthening programme, it usually responds really well. 🙌🏻

If your hip pain has been lingering for a while, don’t just put up with it.
💬 Message “INFO” and we’ll help you work out your next best step.
