Worried physio will make things worse? 🤕

Completely understandable — especially if exercises have flared things up before.

But good rehab shouldn’t feel like punishment.

There’s a big difference between:
✅ Challenging the body
❌ Overloading the body

The right rehab plan builds confidence in movement again — gradually, safely, and at the right pace for you.

If you’ve been avoiding physio because you’re worried about making things worse, message “INFO” and let’s talk it through 💬

LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE - BOOK NOW

Our Core Control Pilates Classes are ideal for beginners or as part of a recovery program.

The classes provide a basic level of exercise and are the ideal platform to start your Pilates journey. Each series runs for 6 weeks to gain the most from your muscles. The classes benefit people with a variety of different injuries and conditions. The ultimate goal is for each participant to obtain independent Core Control, with an understanding of their body, fluid movement, and how to control weak areas. This then enables safe independent exercise at home and progression to advanced levels of physical activity, whilst engaging the correct muscles.

If you would like to register for the next class series, please email [email protected] or call 01304 813408.

🌸 Menopause can affect far more than people realise — including bladder control, pelvic floor function, confidence with exercise, and day-to-day comfort.

The important thing to know is that these changes are common… but they’re not something you simply have to “put up with.” 🙅‍♀️

Pelvic health physiotherapy can help you better understand what’s happening, improve symptoms, and support you through this stage of life with the right plan for your body 🙌🏻

📍If you’ve been noticing changes and want some guidance, message “INFO” and we can help point you in the right direction.

Heel pain in active children is more common than people realise — especially during growth spurts and busy sports schedules 🏃‍♀️🏃

‼️Sever’s disease can sound alarming, but with the right management, most children recover really well and get back to doing what they enjoy.

The key is recognising it early and managing the load properly rather than trying to just “push through it.”

📍If your child has been complaining of heel pain after sport or activity, message us “INFO” and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Pelvic health isn’t a “standalone system” — it’s part of the whole story ✨

As pelvic health physios, we can’t just zoom in and hope for the best. The pelvis doesn’t exist in isolation… it’s influenced by everything from breathing patterns to posture, movement habits, and yes — the entire MSK system.

That lingering hip issue?
That stubborn low back pain?
That “mystery” pelvic symptom?

They’re often more connected than we think 👀

Taking a holistic approach means looking beyond the pelvic floor and asking bigger questions:
How does the person move?
What are their load patterns like?
What’s happening above and below the pelvis?

Because when we connect the dots, outcomes improve — and patients feel seen, not segmented 💬

😵‍💫 BPPV is one of the most common causes of short bursts of dizziness — especially when rolling in bed, looking up, or bending down.

The good news?
When it’s properly diagnosed, it’s often very treatable with specific repositioning manoeuvres like the Epley’s 🙌🏻

The important part is making sure it actually is BPPV, because not all dizziness comes from the inner ear.

If you’ve been struggling with spinning sensations or dizziness with head movement, message us and we can help point you in the right direction 👇🏻

Kelly recently had the pleasure of visiting Christine Wise, an experienced lymphoedema nurse specialist with years of dedicated practice in the field.
What stood out most wasn’t just her depth of knowledge, but her genuine generosity in sharing it. Christine’s passion for helping others and advancing understanding in lymphoedema care is truly inspiring.
Lymphoedema is a long-term condition that causes swelling in the body’s tissues, most commonly in the arms or legs. It happens when the lymphatic system isn’t working properly, leading to a build-up of fluid. It can sometimes develop following cancer treatments, particularly breast cancer, where lymph nodes may be removed or affected. While it can’t always be cured, it can be effectively managed with the right care, support, and expertise—something Christine is clearly passionate about providing.
At Tracey Miles Physio, we’re proud to complement Christine’s work by supporting patients with treatment for mastectomy scars and cording, helping to improve comfort, mobility, and recovery.
Grateful for professionals like Christine who continue to make a difference through both expertise and kindness for more information please drop us a message 🩷
