Think that Pilates is all insta ready matching sets, Stanley cups and princesses?
Try breathing, centering, concentration, control, precision and flow.
Don't expect to "get" it in your first class, but show up consistently for 2 or 3 classes a week, and watch your strength grow, watch your posture change, notice how your connection to your body and how it moves changes.
My clients tell me that my classes are accessible, I always offer a variety of ways into or towards a Classical Pilates movement. They tell me im approachable, listen to me trip over my words, make daft "dad" jokes and references to songs that you've probably never heard of (because im born in the '80s, or a foreigner, a Malawian living in Wales). Im told that my classes are fun and challenging, but youll never break a sweat, so feel free to wear full make up 🤣
If youre nervous about joining a gym and never using it, have fancied trying out Pilates but are worried or anxious that you won't know what you're doing, or that it'll be too hard, PLEASE get in touch with me.
I fell in love with Pilates over 20 years ago and my love for it grows and deepens every day, as I see clients progress and change, and celebrate their wins with them ❤️
These are a selection of classical Pilates movements featuring some of my amazing clients from one of my classes at Cardiff Central. Aren't they amazing 😍
As always, so thankful to my amazing friend, mentor and master instructor
