I had the most inspiring day at the Glow & Grow session hosted by .skin earlier this week ✨

From a warm welcome to movement & mindfulness, the day was thoughtfully designed around wellness, reflection, and education. We enjoyed a refreshing juice break, insightful Nimue & Calecim sessions, and time to connect over lunch.

The afternoon sparked creativity with a visualisation mood board workshop, followed by discovering more about incredible skin brands.

It was such a wonderful experience connecting with like-minded business women, sharing our journeys, and learning together. There’s something really special about being in a room full of people who are passionate about growing — both personally and professionally.

I left feeling motivated, re-energised, and so grateful to have met the incredible Nimue team and so many inspiring women. Here’s to continuing to grow our businesses, support each other, and glow together 💫

🌞 UV & Skin Pigmentation – What You Need to Know

UV radiation triggers melanin production (your skin’s natural defence), but too much exposure can lead to hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

🧬 What is Melasma?
A common condition causing symmetrical brown/grey patches, often on the face. It’s strongly linked to hormones + sun exposure, making it more common during pregnancy, if you takea contraception, or HRT.

⚠️ At higher risk?
If you’re pregnant or using hormonal treatments, your skin is more sensitive to UV and visible light.

🛡️ How to prevent it
• Wear SPF 30–50 daily (even when cloudy!)
• Choose tinted SPF for added visible light protection
• Reapply every 2–3 hours outdoors
• Avoid peak sun (11am–3pm)
• Keep skincare gentle—avoid irritation
• Limit heat (saunas, steam, hot yoga)

💡 Key tip: Prevention is much easier than treating melasma—protect your skin consistently!
