I've got a few spaces available for my Sunday Morning Reset Crystal Bowl Sound Bath on Sunday 19th July at Gosling S**e, Houghton.

Sound has become a much bigger part of my life than I ever expected. What started with crystal singing bowls has gradually evolved through further training, Sacred Geometry studies and working with tuning forks alongside the bowls. The more I learn, the more fascinated I become by the way sound can support relaxation and wellbeing.

Life can be busy and demanding, and it's easy to spend our time looking after everyone else whilst putting our own needs to one side. A sound bath offers the opportunity to step away from all of that for an hour and simply rest.

There is nothing you need to do. Just get comfortable, close your eyes if you wish, and allow yourself to be immersed in the sounds and vibrations of the crystal singing bowls.

People often tell me they leave feeling calmer, more grounded and deeply relaxed. Some sleep better afterwards, whilst others simply enjoy having a little time and space away from the demands of everyday life.

The setting at Gosling S**e makes it even more special. Surrounded by nature and wildlife, it feels like the perfect place to pause, breathe and reset before the week ahead.

If you'd like to join us, I'd love to welcome you.

Whilst everyone's experience of sound healing is different, many of the people I work with describe something very similar.

We live in a world that constantly demands our attention. There is always something to do, somewhere to be or another item to tick off the list. It's no wonder so many of us feel overwhelmed, exhausted or disconnected from ourselves at times.

I love sound healing because it creates a space where none of that matters for a while. For an hour, you can simply lie back, listen and allow yourself to rest. No expectations. No pressure. No need to get anything right.

Over the last few years, sound has become an important part of my own practice. Through crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and more recently my Sacred Geometry studies, I've become fascinated by the relationship between sound, vibration and wellbeing.

I don't think sound healing gives everyone the same experience. What I do see time and time again is people leaving feeling calmer, lighter and more relaxed than when they arrived, and sometimes that's exactly what we need.

I currently have a few spaces available in July for 1-1 Sound Healing sessions if you'd like to experience it for yourself.

Over the last couple of years, sound has become a much bigger part of my life than I ever expected. What started with crystal singing bowls has gradually evolved through further training, Sacred Geometry studies, tuning forks and, perhaps most importantly, through my own experiences of using these practices for myself.

After my cancer diagnosis and surgery, I found myself navigating a very different relationship with my body. Like many people who have experienced illness or major life changes, I had to find a way to reconnect with myself again. Sound became one of the tools that helped me slow down, listen and create space to heal and rebuild that relationship.

One of the things I love most about sound healing is that it asks very little of us. We spend so much of our lives doing, thinking, planning and solving problems that we rarely give ourselves the opportunity to simply be. During a sound session there is nothing to achieve, nowhere else to be and nothing expected of you. You can simply get comfortable, relax and allow yourself to be immersed in the sounds and vibrations.

Over the years I have seen people experience sound in many different ways. Some tell me they sleep better afterwards. Some feel calmer and more balanced. Others gain clarity around situations they have been struggling with, whilst some simply enjoy having an hour where they can step away from the demands of everyday life.

I still find it remarkable that something so simple can have such a profound effect. Perhaps that's why sound has become such an important part of both my personal journey and the work I now share with others.

I currently have a few spaces available for 1-1 Sound Healing sessions. If you've been feeling the need to pause for a while and spend some time focusing on yourself, feel free to get in touch.

I always feel a little awkward sharing testimonials, but I know that when I'm looking for a therapist, treatment or course myself, I like to hear about other people's experiences. It can help you get a feel for the person behind the work and whether it might be right for you.

This lovely feedback came from Amanda after a series of sound healing sessions, and I'm very grateful that she took the time to share her experience.

One of the things I love about sound healing is that no two people experience it in quite the same way. Some people drift into a deeply relaxed state, some sleep better afterwards, some find they gain a little clarity around things they've been struggling with, and others simply enjoy having an hour where they can step away from the demands of everyday life.

There isn't really a right or wrong experience. My role is simply to create the space using crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and other therapeutic instruments, allowing you time to rest, reset and reconnect with yourself.

Over the last few years sound has become an increasingly important part of both my personal and professional journey, and I continue to be fascinated by the way it can support relaxation, wellbeing and balance.

Thank you Amanda for your kind words and for trusting me to be part of your journey.

I currently have a few spaces available for 1-1 Sound Healing sessions in Carlisle in July. If you've been curious about experiencing sound healing for yourself, feel free to get in touch.

I've got a few spaces available in July for 1-1 Sound Healing sessions.

Sound has become a much bigger part of my work over the last couple of years and it's something I continue to explore both professionally and personally. Whether through my Sacred Geometry studies, sound therapy training or my own healing journey, I'm continually amazed by the effect sound can have on our wellbeing.

These sessions use crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and other therapeutic instruments to create a space where you can simply stop for a while. A space away from the demands of everyday life, where there is nowhere to be and nothing to do.

Some people come because they're feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Others are looking for a little more balance, deeper relaxation or simply an hour of peace and quiet. Whatever brings you, the session is tailored to you.

No two sessions are ever quite the same. We begin with a conversation about how you're feeling and what you'd like from the session, then the sound experience unfolds from there.

If you've been feeling the need to pause, rest and reset, I'd love to welcome you.

This photo appeared in my memories today. Tony and I had just arrived in Tring after walking part of the Ridgeway 2023

At the time, I was still finding my way after cancer and major surgery. Physically I was recovering, but emotionally I was still trying to make sense of everything that had happened and of my relationship with my body. It had carried me through so much, yet I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about it anymore.

Those walks became important to me. Tony has always walked much faster than I do, so I often found myself some distance behind him. By the time I arrived, the wildlife had usually gone about its business, leaving me alone with my thoughts and the landscape around me.

There was something about walking those ancient pathways that felt deeply familiar. The Ridgeway has been travelled for thousands of years and, as I walked, I often felt a strong connection to my ancestors. It was as though they were there with me, quietly encouraging me onwards when I was still trying to find my confidence again.

When I wrote earlier about transformation, this photograph immediately came to mind. Not because it captures a dramatic moment, but because it reminds me that transformation often happens quietly while we’re putting one foot in front of the other.

For me, this walk was part of learning to trust my body again, appreciating all it had carried me through and beginning to make peace with the changes that had taken place.

Looking at this photo today also reminded me that we’ll soon be heading off on our adventures again, this time with our three dogs. It will be Jasper’s first holiday since his operation, so we’ll be finding our way through his new normal too. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can manage, taking things at his pace and making some new memories together.

I came across this quote today and it really made me stop and reflect. Transformation sounds like such a beautiful word, but the reality is that it often asks us to move beyond what feels familiar, comfortable and safe. That can be exciting, but it can also be uncomfortable, messy and sometimes a little frightening.

When I look back over my life, transformation seems to have arrived in many different forms. Through illness, career changes, spiritual development, relationships and, more recently, through my Sacred Geometry studies. Each experience has asked me to let go of something familiar and step into something unknown.

Leaving my job in the NHS, navigating cancer and surgery, and stepping more fully into the work I do now all required me to release versions of myself that I had known for many years. More recently, my Sacred Geometry Level 2 training challenged me in ways I wasn't expecting. It asked me to look at things differently, trust myself more deeply and step beyond some old patterns and ways of thinking.

At the time, I couldn't always see where those changes were leading. I simply had to trust the process and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Looking back now, I can see that every challenge changed me in some way. Not because the experiences themselves were easy, but because they invited me to grow beyond who I had been before.

Transformation isn't always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it's about uncovering more of who you truly are beneath the expectations, fears and stories you've carried for years. That journey continues for me every day, and for that I am deeply grateful.

Thank you to everyone who came along to this morning's Sunday Morning Reset Crystal Bowl Sound Journey.

It was lovely to spend the morning with you all and share some time to simply slow down, switch off from the outside world and enjoy the sounds of the crystal bowls.

Every group is different, which is one of the things I love most about these sessions. No two experiences are ever quite the same.

If you missed this one, the next Sunday Morning Reset Crystal Bowl Sound Journey at Cumbria Wildlife Trust will be on 19th July 2026

One of the things I love about Holy Fire Reiki is that it continually surprises me. I've been working with Reiki for over twenty-five years now and no two sessions have ever been the same.

Some people drift off into what feels like the deepest sleep. Some become aware of sensations, colours or memories. Some chat about their experience afterwards and some simply sit quietly for a few moments before heading home.

I often hear people say, "I can't explain it, but I feel different." And I know exactly what they mean.

I've stopped trying to work out what someone is going to experience during a session. Holy Fire Reiki seems to have its own way of working.

What I do notice is how many people arrive carrying more than they realise. Not just stress, but all the things that accumulate as we move through life. Responsibilities, old experiences, worries about the future, things left unsaid, things left undone.

Then an hour later they get off the couch and somehow seem a little lighter. Not always dramatically. Sometimes the shift is subtle. But it's often there.

After all these years, I still find myself wondering what each session will bring. Not because I expect anything in particular, but because Holy Fire Reiki has taught me that every person arrives with their own story, and every session unfolds in its own way.
