It's come to my attention that some clients are struggling to get in contact with me straight away and are getting quite frustrated.
There's a very valid reason for this:
I have finally started taking time for me. I now have two days off in the week where I just live, work free.
The days I have off each week are different, this is due to failled attempts at having set days off (everyone wanted my days off 😱🤣)
(I normally book my days between Monday-Friday to leave my weekends open). I also post my days off on my story in Whatsapp so it's clear.
Last year and in all the previous years, I did unholy amounts of days, would answer all messages as soon as they came in even on my day off. (Which is what you are all used to).
I've had a good run, but i've realised that I can't work like this forever. I'm supposed to be working to live and I found myself living to work. All my "life" stuff either got put on the back burner, ignored or just simply didn't happen.
I will still answer messages every morning I'm at work (5 days a week), and most days after work for an hour too. (Luckily I don't have space next week for a tattoo and haven't for a long time, so now my messages aren't urgent anymore).
I watched my Dad sit at the coffee table after work every night, with his diary out. This would go on until 10pm/ 11pm some nights. If he wasn't doing that, the pencils were out until daft oclock. Infact for the most part, that's all I remember him doing.
It's no way to live and I slowly have found myself in the same routine.
So this New Year I promiced myself that now the studio is established and work is flowing, I can finally take a breath and figure out what I want from my own personal life. Find that work/ life balance.
What does this mean for you? It might mean I don't see your message until the day after, or maybe if I have 2 days off together, in 2 days.
(5 days a week, I will see your message in the morning and probably after my day sitting too).
It also means that chances are, if you message me after half 6, I'm not going to see it until I'm back in work.
The good news is, these messages aren't urgent. Most are for a few months from now, and the rest are last minute questions that could have been asked way before the day before your appointment. I also have a website FULL of Q&As and also will have sent you a link at the time of you booking with additional information on it.
