As a Certified Naturopath, food and lifestyle are important pieces of the health puzzle. Establishing correct patterns of physical, mental and emotional health are key for health and happiness. I provide iridology analysis to help establish the health condition of the individual and I coach on naturopathic and natural protocols, as well as using Western Herbs to help the body heal. Iridology

The iris is connected by nerves to the brain and the brain is connected to each organ and system in the body. Iridology is the art and science of studying the iris and is a non invasive way of ascertaining the health condition of each organ and system in the body. Included in Naturopathic Health Consultations and also as a stand alone service. I can advise the best herbs for you and their usage, which are formulated to support your organs and systems to help you to heal. Chlorine Dioxide and DMSO

Yes it's hot!

Yes we need to stay hydrated. But we need to hydrate right!

Here's my advice from an ex- Hong-Konger who is used to being hot and sweaty!

1)Make sure you are drinking good clean water (filtered, well or spring, distilled). Tap water is good for neither man nor beast because of the amount of chemicals it contains.

2) Structure water with electrolytes. Not only do we lose electrolytes when we sweat, our bodies 'hold' onto structured water better. But don't drink funny coloured electrolytes that you've bought.

What can we use?

-Salt- not table, but Himalayan, Celtic or sea salt
-Lemon, lime, cucumber or mint
-Salt and lemon or lime (or cucumber, mint)
-Fresh coconut juice

You can also add honey and or ginger.

My go to electrolyte drink when I was trail running in HK was lime, salt, honey. It's also a great drink if you feel really dehydrated.

Recently I've been making my version of Mother Root which I love but it's quite pricey. You can make it at home. Mix grated ginger, apple cider vinegar, with a sprinkling of good salt and raw honey. Add cayenne pepper if you want more fire.

Stay hydrated everybody!

Often, people want to get healthier, without ignoring the basics. Here's my guide to getting the basics right first!

Lately, I’ve been quite shocked how unhealthy people are that I see around me. Three times recently I’ve walked up three flights of stairs and the person I’ve walked up with or has been behind me, not only are out of breath, but they also look like they are struggling to get up the stairs at a...

A very good blog on breast cancer.

This is why I do not advocate mammograms or invasive options if 'a lump is found'. More important is prevention; keeping the woman healthy so that blockages and cysts in the lymphatic tissue of the breast do not occur. If they do DMSO and castor oil packs on the breast, alongside systemic cleansing should be the first port of call before stepping inside a doc's surgery who will scare the pants off you and push you along on the rollercoaster of treatments.

Here are my go to preventatives:

-Reduce/ eliminate chemicals used in personal care products and cleaning products. Go as natural as possible.
-Use natural deodorant, not pore clogging aluminium filled deodorants
-Exercise regularly
-Eat a whole food diet which as much organic as you can afford
-Avoid processed foods
-Avoid or reduce alcohol
-Do not smoke
-Avoid vaccines
-Avoid pharmaceutical drugs
-Get adequate and restful sleep
-Manage emotional stress
-Heal past traumas

The latter is possibly one of the most important there, because women often juggle family life and work. They are often the 'captain of the ship' helping the husband and children to plan and organise their lives. They are the carers and the nurturers. They take on the troubles of the world. All the while trying to be 'enough'; pretty enough, thin enough etc. Many women struggle with current or past abuse and its fallout.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (which is thousands of years old), breast cancer is linked to blockages in liver, stomach and spleen meridians, often attributed to Liver Qi Stagnation, which is often linked to emotional stress. Chronic anger, frustration or heavy heartedness cause liver qi to stagnate. The liver meridian passes through the breast and the stagnant energy eventually forms lumps or masses. Worrying, overthinking or consuming a poor diet weakens the spleen.

I know for sure that I have done/ do all those things! The key is to feel emotions and let them go. Holding onto emotions cause nervous system dysregulation which I feel is the root cause for MANY health issues.

Cancer, lumps or any health issue require a many pronged approach. The cut, burn and poison of mainstream medicine rarely is the answer.

In April 2026, a Dutch randomized trial reported that women with low-risk “Stage 0 breast cancer” who skipped surgery did no worse than women who had it.

So what exactly is a Naturopath?

Thats'a question I get asked a lot....so here is the long answer...

Since I’ve arrived in Wales and introduced myself as a Naturopath to others, I’ve either received a blank look, or ‘What’s that then?’. I guess it’s a sign of the times that the oldest form of medicine is quietly being forgotten. Firstly, here is the dictionary definition: “A Naturopat...
