There's a feeling most of us carry but rarely speak about. Not sadness, exactly. Just a sense that something is missing.

I've been reading the research.
Researchers call it SPIRITUAL DISCONNECTION.
I just call it being human in a crazy world.
The science is clear: people are seeking restoration.
And the reason they can't find it alone isn't personal failure.
Building any practice, in the gym or in stillness is much easier when someone holds the space for you.
That's what I try to offer here.

The BLACKBERRIES were warm from the sun when I picked them.
Scratched wrist, purple fingers; the hedgerow's usual price.
By lunch they were in a salad, sharp and sweet.
Dancing with the rested, rosy duck.
I set your place.
One guest. One plate.
I was thinking about you all the time..
That's what cooking for someone is, really.
Thoughtfulness.
Followed by heat and care.

Today is the 8th of 8th.
The Lions Gate when a portal in the universe opens for you and me
Ancient Egypt.
Sirius, the brightest star returns to the dawn sky.
The Nile will rise, and the desert will grow abundant with food for everyone again.
A star comes back. Water comes. Life begins again.
The MAGIC of today.
A promise the sky has kept for thousands of years: abundance is yours..
And the eight, twice over is infinity.
YOU ARE ETERNAL.
You don't have to believe it.
But it's as good a day as any to say what you actually want.
Write it down. Say it out loud in the kitchen.
Nobody's listening but you and you're the one who is important.
Ask. Believe. And it will be given

I've been one.
Doing, doing, doing and all that busyness drowns out your own voice.
You can't tend to your needs you can't even hear.
Rest is how you come back.
Not once everything is done. Now.
Rest is how you belong to yourself.
