A cause close to our hearts at LV. It’s been a privilege to be involved in even a small part of their training. Please support them if you can. 💚

Today marks one year since Will’s passing.

Today, our thoughts are especially with the Pedley family as they face this incredibly difficult anniversary. We think of them every day, but especially today, as they mark a year without Will.

Will was just 15 years old. His life should have been ahead of him, and the loss of such a young life is something that our community continues to feel deeply. A year on, he is still so very much missed.

Will was a much-loved part of our local community. He loved rugby and farming, two passions that were such a big part of his life, and his memory continues to live on through the people who knew and loved him.

We are incredibly proud of the Pedley family and the strength they have shown over the past year. Despite their unimaginable grief, they have helped turn their loss into something that can make a difference to others. The incredible amount of money that has been raised in Will’s memory over the past year is a testament to just how loved he was and how many people want to help prevent another family from experiencing this heartbreak.

On 20th September, we will come together as the rugby mums and our wider community to take part in our Ladies Only Tractor Pull — pulling a vintage tractor from Barbon to Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club to raise money for PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de.

We are doing it for Will.

For his family.

For every young person who may be struggling in silence.

And in the hope that by talking openly about su***de and supporting organisations like PAPYRUS, we can help prevent another family from having to face a loss like this.
