What a journey 🫤 After 374 days of battling with my body, I’ve received a diagnosis: an autoimmune disease. I’m sharing this not for sympathy, I’m explaining what I’m going through and I have to prfioritize my health moving forward.
I’ll be starting on methotrexate, which is a chemotherapy drug so it’s trial and error until they find the right treatment plan.
This treatment will weaken my immune system, making me more susceptible to infections. Therefore, I kindly ask that if you’re feeling unwell, please stay away from me. Your understanding means the world as I navigate this new reality.
If you have an appointment with me and aren’t feeling your best, please message me in advance. This will help me take the necessary precautions to keep myself safe.
If you see me wearing gloves or any sort of support on my hands just know I’m not trying to be Michael Jackson 😂
I truly appreciate all the love and support you’ve shown me. Today marks the beginning of my journey to healing, and while it’s going to be a long road ahead, I’m determined to take it one step at a time.🖤
