Ever wondered how many interventions a chiropractor is likely to use for your case?

According to research by the University of Plymouth, this ranges between 0 and 10, with 3 being the average.

Your chiropractor will assess your case to determine the number of interventions you will need in each visit. A good chiropractor will never use a one-size-fits-all approach.

We can always tell when someone’s had a long week at a desk because their body starts to show it too... tight shoulders, aching lower back, stiff hips and that feeling where you stand up and suddenly realise you haven’t moved all day properly.

The body isn’t designed to stay in one position for hours at a time, and chiropractic care can help relieve the tension that builds up from long office days and support better movement throughout the spine and joints.

What we eat doesn’t just affect weight or energy levels; it can affect our joints and muscles too!

A new study has linked higher consumption of ultra-processed foods with increased fat infiltration in thigh muscles in adults at risk of knee osteoarthritis. In simple terms, the quality of our diet may be influencing how well our muscles support and protect our joints long before arthritis officially develops.

It’s a good reminder that musculoskeletal health is about more than just movement; nutrition, activity levels, recovery and how the body functions together all play a part.

Shoulder injuries can make everyday things difficult; even reaching into a cupboard, putting on a coat, or sleeping comfortably can become frustrating.

Rotator cuff problems often develop gradually through repetitive movement, gym training or strain building up over time.

Chiropractic care focuses on improving movement through the shoulder, neck and upper back so the joint isn’t working harder than it needs to.

Animals are brilliant at hiding discomfort, so the signs can often be subtle at first. Maybe your dog seems slower to get up, or your horse doesn’t feel as comfortable moving as they used to.

Animal chiropractic focuses on how the joints and spine are moving, helping reduce tension and supporting better mobility throughout the body. Sometimes even small improvements in movement can make a huge difference to how comfortable they feel day to day.

If you’ve noticed changes in movement, stiffness or behaviour, it could be worth getting things checked. Get in touch here: https://heyor.ca/nkz5Fn

It’s peak running season at the moment, and a lot of people are starting to realise just how much pressure marathon training can put on the body, especially the knees.

New research found that nearly half of people who exercise regularly are using painkillers just to keep going, with knees and lower backs coming out as some of the most common problem areas.

Pain during training isn’t always something to just push through. Tight joints, poor movement patterns, and strain building up over weeks of training can all start catching up with runners as mileage increases.

Chiropractic care can help support runners by improving joint mobility, reducing tension and helping the body move more efficiently under load, especially during long training blocks.

Tennis elbow isn’t just something that affects tennis players; it’s common in people who spend long hours typing, lifting, gripping tools or repeating the same movements every day.

It often starts as a small ache around the elbow, before gradually becoming harder to ignore.

Chiropractic care can help by looking at how the wrist, elbow, shoulder and neck are all working together, helping to reduce strain and improve movement through the whole chain.

Back pain doesn’t always come from doing something dramatic. A lot of the time it’s down to years of sitting awkwardly, lifting poorly, moving less or carrying tension without noticing.

Which is why a lot of people try to ignore it until it starts affecting sleep, work or everyday movement.

Chiropractic care focuses on restoring movement through the spine and helping reduce the strain that builds up around it, so your body feels more comfortable doing normal daily things again.

It’s marathon season, which means thousands of runners are putting their bodies through 26.2 miles of serious physical stress.

During a marathon, your muscles, joints, tendons and energy systems are all working overtime. By the finish line, most runners are dealing with muscle fatigue, dehydration, stiffness and microscopic muscle damage, even if everything has gone to plan.

Recovery afterwards matters just as much as the training itself. Sleep, hydration, movement and proper recovery support all play a huge role in how quickly the body bounces back.

Chiropractic care can help support recovery by improving movement through the spine and joints, easing tension and helping the body recover from the strain long-distance running places on it.
