About me: Lighthouse Physiotherapy was established on Alderney in January 2017. The service has a strong emphasis on functional and physical rehabilitation, appropriate manual therapy and exercise . Experience includes working in the private, public, and voluntary sector, across sectors such as elite sports teams, charitable sectors and the military. Physiotherapy is a fully regulated, protected h

olistic and caring profession that uses rehabilitation, exercise and manual therapies to treat different conditions, that occurred through injury, ill health or by any other means. The service has extensive tools and strategies which work together for your benefit. So whether you want to develop your strength and balance to reduce your risk of falls, improve your mobility, confidence and strength after an elective operation or an accident, or return to activities that you love doing, I can help! laying solid rehab foundations, to build your recovery and progress your function. As a therapist I'm very relational, and very invested in my clients and colleagues. I do people! And give them the space and the time to ask questions and explore their own pathways to recovery. Sprinkled, with a little encouragement and guidance from me. All with the aim of optimising your function and meeting your goals in a caring, professional and compassionate way. As some of you may or may not know, I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Shameem Sampath an excellent but now retired knee surgeon in the UK some years ago at a Physio First conference back in 2018. We met again in Alderney. I was trained in the use of a tablet-based exercise app 'Slider Online' that he has developed. It supports patients with exercises after knee surgery in their own homes.
