Carespaces has been involved in projects where a ceiling track hoist was specified before the space had been checked in detail.

At first, the equipment can appear suitable. The layout may look workable, and the referral may be ready to move forward. Once the room is checked, issues can appear with ceiling height, structure, track route, or building restrictions.

These constraints affect whether the hoist can be installed safely and whether it will meet the client’s transfer needs.

When a job involves multiple suppliers, delays often happen between each stage.

One supplier may be waiting for confirmation. Another may be working from slightly different measurements. The contractor may be trying to keep the job moving without the full information.

Hence, the issue is not always the work itself.

It could be the handover, the detail that was overlooked, or the update that was not shared at the right time.

This is why coordination matters before the work starts.

Where does a DFG case usually slow down for you?

When we talk to OTs, a couple of things come up most. Approvals taking longer than the client's situation can afford. Getting all the moving parts lined up before the install can actually go ahead.

The time that gets lost tends to sit between people rather than at any one stage, and it's rarely the same place twice.
