🦢💙 Fun and games at Swan House! 💙🦢

We’ve been keeping busy with a little bit of everything! 🎉

🎱 Bingo – lots of excitement, lucky numbers and a few winners along the way!
🎨 Colouring – getting creative and enjoying some relaxing time together.
🫘 Beanbag fun – a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs and some very impressive throws! 😄

It’s always lovely to see our residents getting involved, having fun and enjoying time together. 🥰

🦢✨ We’ve had a busy few weeks here at Swan House! ✨🦢

We’ve been out and about enjoying everything our local community has to offer, as well as having plenty of fun right here at Swan House! 💜

We enjoyed some fantastic live entertainment from The Purple Angels at our Summer BBQ, with lots of singing, dancing and smiles all around! 🎶💃🕺

We’ve also had a brilliant sing-and-dance-along session with the Fenland Harmonicas, which had everyone joining in and enjoying the music. 🎵❤️

And that’s just to name a few!

🌟 Keeping Busy at Swan House! 🌟

There’s always something going on at Swan House! 💕 We’ve been keeping busy with plenty of fun activities, including a game or two of dominoes or getting creative with our arts and crafts 🎨✂️.

We’ve also been enjoying getting out and about in our local community, visiting cafés, shops and taking in everything our lovely town has to offer. ☕🛍️🌳

It’s been lovely seeing everyone getting involved, having a laugh and, most importantly, making memories together. ❤️

Here’s to another busy few weeks at Swan House! 🦢✨

🌸 Meet Louise (or Lou!) 🌸

We’re delighted to introduce Louise, who has recently joined Swan House to work alongside Jo in our Activities Team! 💕

A little bit about Lou… 🌷
Louise is a qualified florist, so she absolutely loves flowers and getting creative making things — although she admits she’s not quite as good at drawing! 🎨😂

Lou has two grown-up sons, a stepson and three grandsons, as well as two adorable little dogs 🐶🐶. She loves theatre and music and is really looking forward to getting to know all of our residents, families and friends.

So, if you see Lou around Swan House, make sure you stop and say HI! 👋💐

🎨☀️ Getting Creative at Swan House! ☀️🎨

We’ve been getting creative this week, making some lovely decorations ready for our Summer Barbecue! 🌴🍔🎉

We were also delighted to be joined by our lovely friend Jan for a creative session. Our residents had lots of fun colouring and decorating wooden decorations, with plenty of creativity, conversation and laughter along the way! 🖍️🌈💕

We can’t wait to see all our handmade decorations bringing our summer BBQ to life! 🌞🏖️

Hi everyone,
I’m excited to introduce myself, my name is Carly and I am the new administrator for Swan House Care Home. I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone, learning more about the team, and contributing to our shared goals.
I bring experience in administration sector for 20 years; the last 3 years I have been covering human resources. In 2024 I passed my CIPD level 3 course in People Practice and when I find the time I am currently studying my CIPD level 5 in human resource management.
I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to the role.
I’m always happy to have a chat and get to know new people.
I’m excited for this next chapter with Swan House Care Home, and I look forward to meeting and working with you all!

🌸🌿 Out and About in Our Beautiful Community! 🌿🌸

We’ve been making the most of the sunshine and spending lots of time out and about in our beautiful town! 💕

From enjoying a cuppa in Fen & Fable☕, popping into the local shops 🛍️, to visiting the church where our residents helped make some beautiful flower arrangements for our Britain in Bloom entry 🌺🌷 — there’s always something to see and do!

It’s wonderful to see our residents enjoying everything our community has to offer, meeting familiar faces, having a chat and simply enjoying being part of our lovely town. 🥰

💪🌟 Keeping Active at Swan House! 🌟💪

Exercise is for everyone, and our residents have been enjoying getting active with dumbbells and resistance bands! 🏋️‍♀️🎈

Gentle strength and resistance exercises can help support:
✨ Muscle strength and mobility
✨ Balance and coordination
✨ Flexibility and range of movement
✨ Confidence and independence
✨ Overall physical wellbeing
✨ Mood, motivation and social interaction

Most importantly, our exercise sessions are all about having fun, getting involved and doing what each person feels comfortable with. There’s plenty of encouragement, smiles and laughter along the way! ❤️

It’s fantastic to see our residents supporting one another and showing that you’re never too old to keep moving! 👏😊
