🎉 Today marks 9 years since I became a Consultant with The 1:1 Diet. 🎉

Where has that time gone?

Over the last 9 years I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of people on their weight loss journeys. I’ve shared happy tears, celebrated milestones, listened to struggles and watched confidence grow.

Changing careers at 55 was one of the best decisions I ever made and I still feel incredibly lucky to do a job that I genuinely love.

Thank you to every client, past and present, who has trusted me to be part of their journey. Your support means more than you’ll ever know.

I walk into a room and completely forget why I went in there.

Stand there looking confused for a minute.

Walk back out.

Then remember.

My favourite breakfast 💕

I have this almost every day and never get bored of it!

🥣 30g oats
🫐 50g frozen blueberries
🥄 1 tsp flaxseed
🥄 1 tsp chia seeds
🥄 1 tsp pumpkin seeds
🥄 A couple of spoonfuls of high protein Greek yoghurt
🥛 A splash of milk
🍫 5g chocolate chips

Mix everything together and leave in the fridge overnight.

The next morning, add a sprinkling of sunflower seeds and enjoy.

This little bowl provides protein, fibre, healthy fats and plenty of goodness from the blueberries and seeds.

I used to believe a packed schedule was proof I was doing life right.

Always rushing.
Always organising something.
Always chasing the next thing on the list.

These days, I’ve realised that being busy and being happy aren’t the same thing.

A coffee with a friend.
Time with family.
A good laugh.
A walk in the sunshine.
A trip to the theatre.

Those moments matter just as much.

I’ve learned that life isn’t a race to the finish line.

It’s about enjoying the journey along the way.

Motivation is great when it shows up.

The problem is that it does not always show up when we need it.

The people who make progress are not necessarily the most motivated. They are usually the ones who keep going, even on the days they do not feel like it.

A simple plan and small consistent actions will often take you further than motivation alone.

What is one small thing you can do for yourself today?

Most people think losing weight is about willpower.

I don’t.

I think it’s about what happens on the difficult days.

The days when you’re tired.
The days when you’re stressed.
The days when life gets in the way.

Anyone can stay on track when everything is going well.

The real challenge is finding a way to keep going when it isn’t.

That’s where the right support can make all the difference.
