This week is Learning Disability Week and that feels like the perfect time to remember why here at The WashClub we do what we do. The latest statistics show only 6% of people with a learning disability are employed - but 86% want a paid job!

Together, we can start to change that! We work with amazing individuals providing work based training and employment opportunities. When you choose to buy your soap, candles and wax melts from The WashClub, you receive a gorgeous product but your purchase does so much more. The more we grow, the more people we can train and employ.

Today we had the pleasure of attending United in Diversity 2026

An amazing event organised by because young people with SEND said they wanted more opportunities to connect and attend events - and today certainly delivered.

It was fantastic to meet and chat with so many children, young people, schools and community groups throughout the day - and you all had so many brilliant ideas for new WashClub products - watch this space for a NEW smellilicious collection! 🤣😁

We can't wait to come back next year and are already exploring more ways The WashClub can reach more young people to deliver meaningful work experience and real life business skills.

A special shout out also goes to Brad and Michael, who did an absolutely fantastic job manning The WashClub stall all day!
