A Different Perspective on Education

I was inspired to hear Micah Siegel, aged 12 from the USA, describing his educational experiences and perspectives to Mike Robinson of UkColumn. Micah decided that mainstream education, public or private, was not for him and has taken a very different direction for his education. Micah loves animals and wants to help them. In May 2023, he started a podcast, Nature’s Guardians, to tell the stories of humans working to save and help animals around the world. Micah’s report: “The State of Animals 2024.” can be downloaded from his website.

To enable all children to discover and use their best ways of learning would truly embrace diversity. I’m not suggesting that Micah’s education approach is for everyone, but it can and I imagine is, inspiring many.
