🌱🥕 Our gardening and allotment team have been working incredibly hard over recent weeks, and their efforts are really starting to show!

From preparing beds and planting crops to weeding, watering and maintaining the site, the team have dedicated countless hours to creating a productive growing space that benefits the whole community.

The fruit, vegetables and herbs grown on our allotment will be used to directly support both our Community Food Pantry and Community Café, helping to provide fresh, local produce while reducing costs and promoting sustainable food practices.

Growing food is about much more than the harvest. It brings people together, develops new skills, improves wellbeing and creates opportunities for volunteers to make a tangible difference within their community.

A huge thank you to everyone involved. We can't wait to share the results of your hard work over the coming months! 🌿🍅🥔

🌴🍛 A huge thank you to The Coconut Tree Cheltenham for hosting members of our team from across Springbank Community Group this evening as a way of recognising the work being delivered across our community.

It was a wonderful opportunity for colleagues and volunteers from different parts of the organisation to come together, catch up outside of work, and celebrate the collective impact that is made possible through everyone's hard work, dedication and commitment.

The food was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was fantastic, and we all left with full hearts and full tummies! ❤️

Thank you to the team at The Coconut Tree for your warm hospitality and for helping us create such a memorable evening.

Next up receiving her long service award was Caroline as we celebrated her fantastic 5 years of volunteering with us 🎉🏅

Caroline first joined the team supporting our Community Café ☕💙 and continues to play an important role there today, helping create the welcoming and friendly atmosphere so many people enjoy.

Alongside this, Caroline has also expanded her volunteering role to support our Community Food Pantry team on Monday mornings 📦🥫 Helping with packing and sorting food for our home deliveries to ensure people who are unable to access us in person still receive support.

These deliveries are about far more than food, they provide connection, consistency and a vital lifeline to many members of our community.

Caroline’s willingness to support across both services highlights the incredible dedication of our volunteers and the difference they make every single week.

Thank you, Caroline, for five years of commitment, kindness and support across our organisation 🌟👏💙

Next up to receive their 5-year service awards were Frank, Angela and Alison 🎉🏅

All three have dedicated a huge amount of time, energy and commitment to supporting the day-to-day running of our Community Café ☕💙
Whether it’s welcoming visitors, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, or simply being a friendly face and listening ear, their contribution has been invaluable.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and people like Frank, Angela and Alison help make the café the warm, welcoming community space it has become.

A special mention also goes to Alison, who not only supports the café but also gives her time to our monthly Nanas & Pops sessions 👵🧓💬 Helping create opportunities for connection, friendship and reducing social isolation within our community.

Thank you all for your dedication over the last five years – your impact reaches far further than you probably realise 🌟👏
