🎤 Put me on a stage, hand me a microphone, and I’m exactly where I belong.
There is something incredibly special about standing in front of a room full of experts, sharing knowledge, challenging thinking, and discussing the science behind our industry. It’s a part of my career that I genuinely love. ❤️
Recently, I had the privilege of speaking at the conference of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS), an organisation representing some of the UK’s leading hair transplant surgeons, doctors, clinicians, researchers, and specialists in hair restoration.
My presentation focused on a subject I’m hugely passionate about…
🧬 Pigment behaviour under the skin.
What actually happens after implantation?
Why do pigments change over time?
Why do some colours heal differently than others?
How does the body’s immune system interact with pigment particles?
And how can understanding the science help us achieve better long-term outcomes for our clients?
These are the conversations that excite me.
After more than 20 years in the beauty industry and over 15 years specialising in micropigmentation, my passion for education is stronger than ever. Whether I’m teaching students, mentoring artists, speaking to clinicians, or presenting to surgeons, I love bringing together practical experience and science to help move our industry forward.
To be invited to share my knowledge with such a respected audience was a genuine honour, and a reminder of how far our profession has come.
The more we understand what happens beneath the skin, the better results we can create above it. 👏
