I don’t know how you do it…..
How do you remember what I had last time??

Well firstly it doesn’t matter what we did last time because each time you attend an appointment we reassess each and every time you walk through that door.
Starting with your medical history moving on to your facial anatomy looking at your face at rest then in animation then and only then do we treat but not before those essential steps

Of course we keep records
We actually keep your notes for a minimum of 7 years but usually up to 10years
We follow strict rules laid out by NHS England, the ICO and GDPR and Data Protection Act
With over 3000 patients on our books that’s no easy task
But we do it and we do it well 😁

Let’s talk sweating!

The recent hike in temperature has seen us all sweating a bit more than usual
But that’s not the kind of sweating we mean

We mean sweating with normal activity, when presenting for work, when just walking along the street in normal heat
It can be sweaty face, arm pits, hands or feet but it’s too excess

Firstly it’s important to understand the cause - new onset sweating can be a worry so that’s where medical assessment and consultation is really important
Then it’s on to triggers and options/ ways to reduce them
Once that is done we can then discuss treatment options

Hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) is real and for some really embarrassing
Wet patches in the arm pits
Offendive smells on clothes and the body once the sweat has dried
Reluctance to public speak or shake hands making it difficult to excel at work potentially

This can knock peoples confidence and lower self esteem

The assessment, diagnosis and treatment is a regulated activity and as such should be performed by medical professionals in a CQC registered clinic

Introducing our latest treatment…

If I had a pound for every time a client has joked about sneezing and crossing their legs at the same time… I’d have retired by now 😂

But the thing is as much as we laugh about it, for so many men and women it genuinely affects their day to day life. The gym, the trampoline, a simple sneeze. It’s one of those things we just quietly put up with and assume is normal.

The majority of our patients are mums. And when I looked into it, I found that 60% of women experience pelvic floor dysfunction at some point in their life. 60%. That’s not a small number that’s most of us.
