Home Care Assistants needed
Pay: £13.30 per hour

Areas of Work: Chester le street, Durham, West Rainton, Houghton le spring and surrounding areas.

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes across Durham.

This rewarding role involves supporting clients with their daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

No previous care experience is required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. If you have a caring nature and want to make a real difference in people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility and safe transfers.
• Prepare meals and assist with light household tasks.
• Administer medication in line with individual care plans and company procedures.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments or on outings when required.
• Follow personalised care plans to meet each client's individual needs.
• Maintain accurate care records and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
• Promote clients' independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

Skills and Requirements

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Basic IT skills for recording care notes and communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
• Experience in home care or a care home is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
• Applicants must be available to work weekends

Additional Information

We are also looking to recruit carers who are already sponsored and are available to work 20 hours per week. If you already hold sponsorship and are looking for additional hours with a supportive care provider, we encourage you to apply.
