💚 REIKI RESEARCH — STUDY #1
✨ Can Reiki help with anxiety?
As a Reiki Master Teacher and Master Teacher across multiple healing modalities, with over 30 years’ experience in healing and wellbeing practices, research like this is particularly close to my heart.
I’ve experienced and witnessed just how powerful Reiki can be in supporting relaxation, emotional wellbeing and a greater sense of balance. So I’m genuinely excited to see scientific research exploring what many of us have experienced through Reiki. 🌿
And this particular piece of research is encouraging.
Researchers brought together 13 controlled studies involving 824 people looking at Reiki and anxiety.
✨ The overall result showed significantly lower anxiety in people receiving Reiki compared with control groups.
That’s not just the result of one small study — it’s a finding drawn from multiple studies involving hundreds of people. 💚
For me, Reiki is a gentle yet powerful complementary healing modality, and it’s wonderful to see a growing body of research exploring its potential benefits.
Of course, Reiki research is still developing, and more high-quality studies will help us understand its effects even further.
But these findings are certainly promising:
🌿 13 controlled studies
🌿 824 participants
🌿 Significant reduction in anxiety
🌿 Growing scientific interest in Reiki
After more than 30 years within the healing and wellbeing world, I’m passionate about bringing together lived experience, traditional healing practices and emerging research — without making claims beyond what the evidence actually shows.
This is just the beginning of my Reiki Research Series. ✨
Next up: Study #2.
