A trial conducted by the University of Oxford has compared a standard NHS nurse-led weight-loss programme with our Plan. This trial is called DROPLET and the results speak for themselves. Not only do they show significant weight-loss (an average of 1 st 10 lbs after one year, three times as much as with the usual NHS care), they also show that the majority of that weight loss is sustained three years on.

The researchers reported that all twelve individuals who took part in the trial highlighted that their relationship with their Consultant (someone like me!) was fundamental to their positive experience. The one-to-one support provided by Consultants was important to people taking part in the study.

All twelve also reported feelings of wellbeing after completing the weight loss phase.

Remember why you started, how far you've come. Write down your reason why you want to lose weight. When you put pen to paper it's much more powerful than just thinking about it! 💍 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

IT'S ALL IN THE PLANNING
Plan your products, plan for food and recipes and keep track of your water intake (2.25 litres of water a day is a must!). Build in some gentle exercise, set yourself a day/time/route and enjoy getting outside for a walk. Small achievable goals to start with, get moving you'll feel great! 🚶‍♀️

WATCH AND LEARN
Follow your Consultant, find fellow inspiring dieters online and pick up great hints and tips. Go to www.one2onediet.com for great info and recipes 🥘

IF YOU GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION
You're only human! It's not the end of the world. It's what you do afterwards that really matters. Bin any guilt and carry on. Ask yourself "What led me to do that?" PAMPER YOURSELF
Take some time out for you. Get an early night, sleep is so important. Enjoy a long soak in the bath, face mask, paint your toes, hands, listen to your favourite music, grab a good book, order some new ones. Work on some self development. Purchase some new clothes for Summer time. When lockdown is over, treat yourself to massage, beauty treatment as a well done for the amazing changes you've made during this difficult time 💅

🌟Make a cup of tea or coffee.
🌟Turn on some soothing music.
🌟Text or call a loved one.
🌟Light every candle you have in your house.
🌟Have an afternoon nap.
🌟Take vitamin D if you have it on hand.

And most importantly, be kind to yourself. "
