A little glimpse of life at Aptitude this week…

Beautiful surroundings. People lifting, Pilates, Classes, PT And plenty of people simply showing up and getting it done.

We’ve stayed busy right through the summer holidays, but as they start to come to an end, we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back and getting those routines going again.

September is nearly here. Back to routine. Back to training. Back to Aptitude ❤️💪🏻

🚨Public information notice 🚨

We’ve done the dance before, we’re doing it again.

Severn Trent has restarted work on installing a pipeline, which means those travelling from the Chester direction past Aldford/Churton will see diversions in place.

Last time, we were minimally disrupted - you really did turn up for us, and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support.

For the next week or so, the diversion is in place, so please allow that for travel time.

Most of the diversion takes you towards the Broxton roundabout and through Carden-Tilston towards the gym.

Once again, thank you for your support and as per the last closure, I do ask that you think about the other businesses affected and help support them too.

The Soapbox Derby is... BACK! & WE NEED YOUR HELP 🙏🏻

Sunday September 13th, The Farndon Soapbox is back 📆

Supporting Hospice of the Good Shepherd Good, this is the fourth year on the bounce where we get to do our bit for an incredible charity.

It takes 12 volunteers a whole year to get this set-up and even more on the day to make sure we can push our beloved friends down a well-constructed ramp to avoid crashing into hay bales. It makes sense on the day.

But we really do need volunteers on the day because without them, we can’t set up, we can’t clear away, and the village would essentially be left in a proper state!

Now look, we do it every year and the Aptitude family shows up. I can’t personally thank all those who help, but I’m asking that as many people can throw their hat into the ring to do it this year.

The more people, the quicker the set-up and clear-up.

Simple as that.

So drop me a line or come talk to me if you can help this fantastic event!

🏃‍♂️ APTITUDE RUN CLUB TAKES ON ERDDIG PARKRUN! 🏃‍♀️

What a morning!

Today marked a big milestone for Aptitude Run Club as we headed to Erddig for our first ever parkrun together! 🙌

A small group of our Run Club team took on the 5K after months of training, and for some, today was their first ever 5K — a fantastic achievement and exactly what the Run Club is all about.

A huge shoutout to our brilliant Run Club leaders Tony & Cathryn from Farndon Physiotherapy, alongside Ian Sinclair, who have been supporting, encouraging and guiding the group every step of the way. 👏

And a massive congratulations to today’s team — you absolutely smashed it!

This is just the start. We’ll be taking the Aptitude Run Club to plenty more parkruns and running events in the future!

Introducing... The Lookout 👀⛰️🌄

Months ago, an idea was floated. The bund across from The Hideaway could be the place where people get to... Slow down.

Life is frantic enough.

Everything feels rushed nowadays. Training, relaxing... Socialising.

So what’s the answer?

We thought, The Lookout The Hideaway at Aptitude

Thanks to Barnston Estate , a team of gardeners, builders, grounds people we took something that was once missed into a space where things can take their own pace.

With views of the Welsh mountains, beautiful countryside and accessible via open paths and the gym, we feel that it’s our responsibility to make it a place you can all enjoy.

If you’re looking for those spare minutes to feel more, you, look no further.

P.s. the alcoholic beverages were gifts and not purchased whilst being photographed. The Hideaway will be shortly selling alcohol on a license in the very near future 🍺 🍷

So… The Bridge is closed.

Yes, THAT one in Aldford.

We remain open. The classes are still going, the gym is waiting for you and… the protein shakes are… shaking?

But there’s something more that we could do.

So we wanted to ask you all to do something for, local.
