With HUGE love and thanks to Chichester Festival Theatre, POWER was invited indoors for a POWER community first: POWER at Larry's (named after the late, great Laurence Olivier).

The VIBs - Very Important Bananas - had a front row seat on - bunch recognising runners, runners recognising bunch.

CFT + POWER + parkrun UK = Chichester community FIRE to be proud of. đŸ”„

Today, I found a school report from when I was 15.

Nearly 30 years ago.

Flicking through, I spotted a line my tutor, Mr North, wrote:

“Her performance in the recent show was one of the best bits of work I’ve seen in any field. All the more so for being long monologues delivered ‘exposed’ and isolated from the stage.”

I’ve been manifesting TEDx for years. But Mr. North? He knew, way back.

His use of ‘exposed' also made me smile (not naked
 ‘clarified’).

Finding this school report reminded me of something I share in bananachat:

Every age you’ve ever been still lives inside you.

How would your 4‑year‑old self show up today?

Your 15‑year‑old self?

Your yesterday self?

They’re all still there.

And when you doubt yourself, look for your encouragers - the people who saw your spark early, the ones who believed in your (TEDx‑talk‑potential) before you had the language for it.

Ask me what I love about my life ...

Small moments of connection.

Throwing bananas around like confetti.

And yes - rocking around in my bra and pants and pumps, basking in the best of nature.

Put me in any wild public space and I’ll get curious:

Who can I gift a banana to?
Who might want to scribble on one?
Who’s open to a moment of courage, curiosity and connection?

The beach is also a great space for inspiring bananachat that encourages noticing, empathy, humanity.

Everyone on the beach is part of your day.
Everyone has loved someone, lost someone, and is afraid something.
Everyone is just finding and feeling their way through today.

This is Coco.
Living in Thailand.
On her way to Italy.
Passing through Bracklesham.

She was curious about the bunch.
So I got curious about Coco, and I gave her a banana and a pen.

She drew all over her banana, accepted the banana baton, and the movement continues.

She also loved my 'giraffe' outfit (officially beige‑ink leopard print by Sweaty Betty but “Giraffe by Coco” is iconic).

Connection doesn’t need to be complicated - it can be playful, brave and beautifully human.

When I asked for permission to use this photo - it was Natalie, Coco's Mum's friend on the banana FROW who candidly captured it - this was her reply ... 📾
