Welcome to the Seaside Salad Bar! 🌊🥗

Who says you have to go to the seaside for a fantastic day out? Here at Kings Lodge Nursing Home, we brought the seaside to us! 💙☀️

For one day only, Kings Lodge proudly opened its very own Pop-Up Seaside Salad Bar! 🥗🍅🥒🌽

And the best part? Our residents were involved every step of the way! From coming up with the idea and creating our seaside-themed decorations using recycled and reused materials, to designing our fabulous bar sign, preparing the tables and serving the delicious salads — this really was a team effort! 👏💕

There was plenty of creativity, laughter and, of course… plenty of eating! 😋

We can definitely say we do like to eat here at Kings! 😂🥗 Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the food and soaking up the seaside atmosphere.

A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen team for all your help and support in making our Seaside Salad Bar such a success. 👩‍🍳❤️

🐷🐑🐐 A Farmyard Adventure at Kings Lodge! 🐰🐔🦆

What a wonderful day we had at Kings Lodge Nursing Home when the amazing Mill Cottage Animal Farm came to visit us! 🌿❤️

Our residents had the most delightful time meeting and gently patting some very special farmyard friends. From adorable ducklings and fluffy rabbits to cheeky goats, friendly donkeys, curious pigs, fluffy sheep, chickens and cuddly guinea pigs — there was something to make everyone smile! 🥰

The visit brought so much joy, laughter and wonderful memories, with plenty of opportunities for our residents to get up close with the animals and enjoy the simple pleasure of connecting with nature. 🐾💕

A huge thank you to Mill Cottage Animal Farm for bringing your fantastic animals to Kings Lodge and making our day so memorable! We’re already looking forward to your next visit. 🌸🐾

☀️🎪 A Wonderful Day Out at Emsworth Show! 🎪☀️

What a fantastic day Kings Lodge residents had today! 💛 We were so lucky to enjoy the sunshine while spending the day at the wonderful Emsworth Show.

There was something for everyone to enjoy — from browsing the many fantastic stalls and watching the brilliant dog show 🐶, to enjoying a variety of talented dancers and performances. 💃🎶

Our residents also had plenty of fun watching the traditional Punch and Judy show 🎭 and admiring the wonderful displays and produce from the Emsworth Horticultural Society 🌸🥕🌿.

Most importantly, it was lovely to see our residents out and about, enjoying the atmosphere, meeting people and being part of our local community. ❤️

A wonderful day filled with sunshine, smiles, laughter and plenty of memories! ☀️😊

What a wonderful way to spend the day! 🌅🦭

Our residents at Kings Lodge Nursing Home enjoyed a fantastic boat trip, taking in the beautiful sunset while keeping an eye out for the local seals. It was a relaxing afternoon filled with fresh sea air, stunning views, and plenty of smiles.

To make the trip even more special, everyone enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and biscuits on board while soaking up the peaceful surroundings.

Creating meaningful experiences and making lasting memories together is what it's all about. ❤️

The meeting room that he helped build is now the St. Mary’s Church TEAROOM. Other buildings include the Vicarages in Castle Street, Portchester, and another at East Meon.
During his return visit, Roger went to St. Mary’s Church and enjoyed a visit to Portchester Castle.

There was a wonderful sense of peace and togetherness at Kings Lodge Nursing Home as our residents came together to attend our church service. 💙🙏

The service was filled with uplifting hymns, heartfelt prayers, and moments of quiet reflection, bringing comfort, joy, and a strong sense of community to everyone who attended.

We are grateful for these meaningful opportunities to nurture the spiritual wellbeing of our residents and create moments that bring people together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the service so special. We look forward to many more cherished gatherings.

🎾🏆 Balloon Tennis Finals at Kings Lodge! 🏆🎾

What a fantastic week we've had at Kings Lodge as we got into the Wimbledon spirit!

Our residents enjoyed taking part in our very own Balloon Tennis Tournament, with plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and some surprisingly impressive rallies! The excitement built throughout the week, leading up to our much-anticipated finals.

And of course, no Wimbledon celebration would be complete without the traditional strawberries and cream and a refreshing glass of Pimm's to toast the occasion. 🍓🥂

A huge well done to everyone who joined in and cheered on our finalists. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, team spirit, and memorable moments shared together.

Who says Wimbledon is only played on grass? At Kings Lodge, a balloon, a paddle, and great company are all you need! 💜

⚽🥅 Goal-Den Moments Afternoon at Kings Lodge! 🥅⚽

Like the rest of the football-loving world, we joined in the excitement with our very own Goal-Den Moments Afternoon here at Kings Lodge Nursing Home!

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful children from Chidham Primary School, who brought plenty of energy, smiles, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Residents, family members, staff, and the children spent a fantastic afternoon taking part in a variety of football-themed activities.

From sensory table football and seated goal kicking to designing and decorating their own football team shirts, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The laughter, friendly competition, and shared moments created a truly special atmosphere throughout the afternoon.

A huge thank you to the children and staff from Chidham Primary School for visiting us and helping to make the day so memorable. It was wonderful to see different generations coming together, having fun, and creating lasting memories.
