Sound and Voice Healing Studio

Sound and Voice Healing Studio 💫 Alexandra Rigazzi-Tarling - Selsey, W. Alexandra Rigazzi-Tarling is a Vocal Consultant, Sound Therapist and Tutor for the College of Sound Healing.

Sussex, Vocal Coach, Sound + Voice Healing, Accredited Vocal Sound Healer Practitioner Trainings and Workshops, Technical Voice 1-2-1s 💫 As a former Opera Singer she has worked with Voice for well over 25 years. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Masters Degree in Music Performance. Alexandra was brought up surrounded by

music and performance, as well as healing and complementary therapies. She spent several years as a working opera singer at international venues, but unfulfilled by this lifestyle, she turned her attention to working as a vocal coach specialising in vocal technique and performance psychology. In addition to this in 2014, Alexandra began to combine her traditional voice coaching with a complementary perspective. As a trained Sound Therapist, she became a tutor for the College of Sound Healing and created voice work that she calls 'Healing and Authentic' voice, assisting both professional voice users and beginners alike to find and work with their core, authentic vocal sound with both a technical and holistic approach. This often meant helping established speakers and performers understand and work with their voice on a deeper technical as well as psychological level, bringing extraordinary results. Alexandra runs accredited practitioner trainings in Sound Healing with the Voice (CoSH), she teaches for educational (including SEN) and corporate establishments (including Barristers' Chambers) for both singing and speaking, and she runs regular workshops in a range of Voice related subjects. Alexandra is passionate about the healing effects of voice on the body and mind and its ability to reflect a person's state of health and being on all levels. Her sessions empower people to begin a journey of personal development and wellness through the discovery of their own unique vocal sound.

😅Gosh these things take time don’t they?!

🕦Hours of planning, writing, filming, editing, adjusting, re-editing, uploading and it goes on!

😊Back during the “lock up” when we were all at home, I wrote my first online on demand courses and it was an amazing journey!

🙏Thank you so much to everyone that invested in one of my courses! I have loved sharing the work with you and hearing your lovely feedback! 💙

👉6 years later things need updating and I have learnt so much more and deepened my practice in healing voice that I’m excited to reshare the basics for those new to the vocal sound healing world

⭐️but also offer new aspects of the work in a series of offerings starting from beginner to more advanced and culminating in Vocal Sound Healing training (still to come and in progress for 2027!).

So I’m hard at it and look forward to sharing later in the month 😊💙

👉If you have purchased one of my original courses, you will still have full access but enrolment for new folk will close in the next weeks.

So if you want to work with the version of me that’s 6 years younger with less wrinkles, see the link in bio 👆🤣💙

👉Ep. 15 - Authentic Voice - Realising Your Acoustic Space

In this episode Alexandra deepens the discussion of ‘authentic voice’ and explores why a physiological understanding of the voice is key to accessing the necessary acoustic space for a person’s unique resonance to unfold.

This unique resonance is not only the basis of the authentic sound but is full of healing harmonics created by the person’s physiological blueprint.

Key points are:

👉The importance of working with your voice and exploring your authentic resonance if you hold space for others in a healing context e.g. yoga teachers, meditation leaders, sound healers etc.

👉How our authentic sound entrains, regulates and heals those around us

👉What is the authentic voice? Returning to a time before speech.

👉Examples of working with the acoustic space for resonance both physical and emotional

👉Our body relies on natural vocal expression to function optimally

👉What are harmonics and how does this relate to our authentic sound?

👉Why the presence of harmonics in our sound is healing for us and Fabien Maman’s work that showed our own voice was the most healing for our own body.

👉How emotional problems affect the vocal acoustic space and authentic resonance

👉How when the vocal mechanism is functioning optimally it affects our whole body, including our nervous system.

🫆Like your fingerprints, the sound of your voice is completely individual to you!

❓Why?

😮Because no one else has an acoustic space, a mouth, a pharynx, a nose, a skull exactly the same as you!

👤No one has a physiological structure like you do.

👉That means that when your voice leaves your throat and flows into your pharynx and through all your resonators, as well as your body as a whole,

it begins to reverberate.

⚡️As it bounces off the physical body parts that are YOU, it creates a sound, a set of harmonics unique to the space it is resonating in.

👀That space is you. Your body.

👉When we understand how to work with the voice on a physiological level, releasing tension where there doesn’t need to be tension,

creating engagement, where there needs to be engagement,

and really honing in on your mechanism and how it ticks, your emotions and where they sit, your psychological processes that run their programs in the back ground,

🌸we can begin to ALLOW our true and authentic resonance to blossom.

👍And that feels AMAZING. That resonance in itself is healing for the body. It contains a unique set of harmonics that your body needs to be well.

💪It takes some work, some practice, repetition, reflection, guidance, commitment, and a remembering,

but once the muscles are happily doing their thing,

the rest falls into place. 😊

💡It’s like your body just knows (it does know, actually).

👉As Fabien Maman found all those years ago, a person’s cells were happiest when they were exposed to the person’s own vocal sound.

💫We hold the medicine we need within our vocal sound.

15/04/2026

⁉️It’s crazy isn’t it, that we should have so much judgment about the sound of our voice?

🤨And it’s not just about singing! You know that feeling when you hear your voice on a recording,

📣And you say, “is THAT what I sound like????”.

😳So many people are shocked when they hear their voice in the way that others do, and they can’t believe the way they sound,

😔And, so often they feel bad about it.

It’s another thing to criticise, like looking in the mirror and not being happy with what we see.

❓Yet, who wrote the rule book on what we SHOULD sound like?

Yes, if you want to be a pop singer, or an opera singer, or a musical theatre lead, then of course there are genre specific “rules” you need to adopt, as well as professionally train your voice, AND do loads of work, practice and so on.

🎶When I was a pro singer, I would often be singing between 6-8 hours a day. It was my job.

😐But generally, that’s not the norm, so what rules are we living by when we criticise our sound?

👉Here’s the thing;

👉When we start to work with our voice, we start to use it regularly, exercise it, listen back to it, grow it, cultivate it, nurture it,

👉we start to develop a part of ourselves that we didn’t think was possible.

👉Your voice is you, it is your creative energy, it is your means of expression.

😊Just by working with it more, YOU begin to change, because as you sound, it changes, it moves, it grows, it affects your physical body, your mind, your psychology, your spirit, your essence.

👏This isn’t about sounding and singing for anyone else. This is about building your voice as your creative expression.

⭐️And it is one of the most potent forms of healing and a pathway to personal development that I know.

⭐️I have seen such positive and happy shifts in people that have opened to their sound,

that’s why I made this my job.💙

Come and get to know your voice more deeply, see how it works, and have some fun with it in our workshop:

The Many Colours of the Voice for Healing - Sun 10th May at the Green Door Centre, Bosham, near Chichester, booking in bio.

No one has to sound alone and you can go at your own pace.
