🔴☀️ A red heat-health alert is in place for the South East from 1am on Wednesday 24 June to 11pm on Thursday 25 June.

Please take extra care over the coming days.

💧 Drink plenty of water regularly
🏡 Keep your home as cool as possible
🌤️ Avoid going out during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm)
🤝 Check on older relatives, neighbours and those who may be vulnerable

⚠️ Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: dizziness, headache, nausea, confusion or unusual tiredness.

Therefore, we are unable to provide telephone appointments, medical advice, or prescriptions if you are outside of the UK - this includes being on holiday abroad.

We know everyone’s time is valuable, but so are GP appointments. When someone books an appointment under false pretences just to obtain a non‑medical letter, it takes away a slot from a patient who may be seriously unwell.

Honesty helps us keep the system fair and ensures that medical care goes to those who need it most. If you need a letter that isn’t linked to a health condition, we’re happy to advise you on the appropriate route - no need to book a GP appointment.
