Mindfulness isn't just about calming the mind. It's also about connecting with and tuning into our body. Bringing awareness to our body brings calm to the mind. That's how you begin tapping into the body's wisdom.

About EMOTIONAL MATURITY.
This is why I work with emotions and support parents. Learning to recognise l, allow and connect with our emotions is at the core of my work with children as well as adults.

Everything a parent does in terms of their inner work the child directly benefits from.

In fact, everyone in our circle (and beyond) will benefit from working on ourselves.

My children have been my teachers to become emotionally mature. Who are your teachers?

OUR VOICE, THE SOUND IT CARRIES, ITS HEALING ABILITY
Today I listened to an extract from my meditation recording, the special project that has been unfolding over the last few months. It's now reaching its final phase; you could say it's in post-production!
I listened to the part of the meditation that carries my vocals, the part that captured the sound I'd received and brought through.

No, I don't sing in the recording, not exactly...

Over the last year or so, I've felt called — or perhaps gently nudged — to use my voice in this way. It happens when I close my eyes and tune into my body. A sound comes. Sometimes it arrives even before I consciously tune in, almost out of the blue. It's a little like a melody, but also like a call.

I don't really have a word for it.

You might call it inspiration, channelling, receiving... What I know is that it feels as though the sound comes to me rather than from me. I don't create it. It arrives, and then moves through me.

I have to say, it takes a lot of courage to allow this.
The process asks me to step out of my mind and drop into my heart, into my body. Every time I sense the sound arriving, I can feel the ego — the inner critic — wanting to step in. A part of me doesn't feel entirely safe expressing myself in this way.

I understand where that hesitation comes from. A few centuries ago, expressing myself like this may well have led me to be burnt at the stake...

That is because, I believe, sound has the capacity to heal.
Our voice is a powerful tool.

Think of lullabies and the way they soothe babies to sleep. Think of your favourite piece of music and how quickly it can shift the way you feel.

Sound carries frequency. It carries energy. That frequency interacts with our body, our nervous system, our organs, all the way to our cells.

The way sound is finding its way to me — and through me — feels significant. It feels important that I share it.

And if I'm honest, it also feels vulnerable.

But I already know there is no other way.
I need to honour the call.
As the saying goes: "Feel the fear and do it anyway."

And don't get me wrong — I am genuinely looking forward to sharing the recording with you. 😊

LIVING WITH A SENSE OF POSSIBILITY. YOUR EMOTIONS AS A DOORWAY TO DISCERNMENT AND INTUITION ✨

Today concludes a 6-month journey with a dear client, a beautiful soul who I've been supporting after she had decided to transition from being employed to being self-employed and live her life more authentically, better connected to herself.

A very brave step on her part, especially since her move is the result of following her heart rather than her mind which has been the story of the past 3 decades...

These are the key insights and take-aways from our session as we reflected on her journey:

- Our emotional awareness is a portal key to access our intuition.

- Becoming aware of our emotions is like being handed a map to our-Selves - to understand what is actually going on inside of us, to begin to see what we like, what we don't like, what is a 'yes', and what is a 'no'.

This may seem obvious for many but if you've lived most of your life conditioned to dissociate from your own needs and desires and/or conform to what the society/ the family/ the environment you've lived in dictates then knowing what we actually want may be harder than you think...

- Being in touch with our intuition enables us to have discernment about what is right for us and what isn't. The mind alone cannot do this for us.

Now, for us on the autism spectrum/neurodivergent , working with our emotions can be tricky as so many of us have, over time, disconnected from our emotions as a coping mechanism. Our emotions were unwelcome, or overwhelming for us (this may be for another post).

At the end of our time together my client feels happy about where she is on her journey. She feels more confident about her path. She knows she will recognise her path and whether she's moving in the right direction because she can discern and intuit better what she needs and what she's moving towards.

With a smile on her face, she noted that, in our sessions, I had made perceptive comments that made her think, which is actually what she was hoping for at the start. These will be something she is taking away and which will drip-feed into her consciousness in the days and weeks to come...

I am honoured and thankful that I had the opportunity to walk alongside her during this time of transition and that I get to support beautiful souls like her...

Her tea tag message today spoke about 'life without trust being like a river without water'...

I wonder - how much trust is there in your life, how connected you are to your own intuition and whether you have the discernment to know what is and isn't right for you...

If my words speak to you, you're curious and/ or would like to explore life from this perspective please get in touch. Send me a PM, or book a free connection call. I love supporting others in this way 🙂
I'll leave a link for you in the comments.

With Love & Appreciation

I'll leave with this quote by Confucius:

On being an EMPATH. It's not what you may think...

People often imagine an Empath as a cute blue-eyed fairy, with a gentle voice.
Gentle in her movements.
And quiet in her speech.
One who wouldn't twist a hair!

But a real Empath is not just light!
She is a being of two poles.
And her darkness is as deep as her sensitivity!
And she is well aware of it!

An Empath is not weak.
An Empath is dangerously sensitive!

And that is precisely her darkness!

1. An Empath sees the truth that others prefer not to see!

An Empath doesn't just read emotions.
She has the gift of reading intentions.
She reads what is hidden.
She reads what others are trying to mask!

And that is dark.
Because seeing the truth that others deny really hurts.
And sometimes it isolates a person!

An Empath is really not naive.
He just keeps quiet because he knows more than he says.

2. An empath feels what he would rather not feel

An empath feels the pain of others.
But he also feels their:

- envy
- manipulation
- hidden (passive) aggression
- impure intentions
- insincerity

And all of this often runs through his body like a cold current or electricity!

This is not cute.
This is a dark gift that makes a person see the world without filters!

3. An empath's darkness is his limit

When an empath says "enough", it is not a grand explosion.
It is the final closing of the door.
Silent!
Final!
Irreversible!

An empath does not attack.
But he cuts off the energy completely.
And that is much stronger than any scream!

His darkness is not destruction.
It is protection!

4. An empath can be tough when they have to!

An empath is understanding for a long time.
They can apologize for a long time.
They hold their space for the longest time.

But when their boundaries are crossed…
when they are hurt on the deepest level…
when they feel disrespected or manipulated…

their reaction is not sweet!

It is surgically precise!

An empath can walk away without a word.
And that is one of their darkest powers.

5. An empath’s darkness is their intuition

An empath’s intuition is not just light.
It is also:

- a warning

- an unpleasant feeling

- a chill in the back

- a signal “something is wrong here”

It is the ability to see the shadow before it manifests itself.

6. An Empath's Darkness Protects His Light An empath is not just subtle. He is also profound.
And the depth always contains a shadow!

Its darkness is not evil!

It is the raw truth!

It is the part that says:

“You end here.”
“You will never hurt me here again.”
“You will not pass here again because I will not let you go.”

And it is thanks to this darkness that the Empath can shine so brightly!

Reality?

The Empath is not a fairy!

The Empath is a being of light and shadow.
Gentle when she can!
Unyielding when she must!

For the Empath, the path of balance between light and shadow within oneself is important!

For the parents, especially those of highly sensitive/neurodivergent kids... Discussing their child's strugles, a client of mine said to me: 'I say the right things.' That's great but it may not work or be enough.
Why?
Because children (especially those on the spectrum) are acutely aware of energy - your energy (think your vibe, not whether you're tired or not)
AND the energy behind your words.

When you speak to your child - are you fully present, are you giving your child 100% attention, or is your mind elsewhere, pre-occupied with thinking about your to- do list for the test of the day?

When you speak to your child - do you mean it? Do you fully believe the words you're saying? Is your heart in them?
You may find you say things because they're the societal norms and what is expected. Or you say things because you feel you should and you always say this...

You can take it even further:
If you speak to your child - is your mind, heart and soul in alignment? In harmony? ❤️☀️✨

Much Love

Connection & Love come first ❤️

Our foundational task in childhood is to prioritize CONNECTION & LOVE with our child 💛

Research shows that when we give our child a foundation of feeling safe and loved, they will…
🍃 thrive in curiosity, exploration, & play
🍃 thrive in learning & intellectual development
🍃 experience healthy brain development
🍃 experience increased health & immunity

The skills of discovery and independence will naturally develop, as we maintain a connected relationship with them & allow them opportunities of play and exploration.

This changes everything... What if opening yourself up to your spiritual expression is something that is really going to make a difference to your experience of this world as a person? What possibilities will open up for your child if their life experience is understood in terms of energy and other dimensions... ✨

I'd like to connect with those of you who can relate or are curious... Message me, or drop me an email. I'd love to hear from you ☀️
