Bilateral Tapping is a therapeutic practice that involves alternate tapping on the left and right sides of the body.
Slow, alternate rhythmic stimulation actively stimulates both sides of the brain, calming the nervous system, and reducing emotional overwhelm.
Teaching your child this technique will help them to regulate their emotions.
The Butterfly Hug.
Start by crossing your palms over your chest (I like to perform this technique with palms close to my heart centre).
Interlink your thumbs to form a butterfly.
Alternate gentle taps from side to side (as demonstrated in the video).
Breathe slowly and gently, and repeat this for 3-5 minutes.
